Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Vox might be allowing full line speed at this point but one thing is for sure, once they start feeling the pinch as their customer base is growing and more and more data is being used they WILL start taking measures. its just a question of when or how long.

That's the reality of a ISP business.

Just my 2c

Only been using it for around 2 months now but how has bolt-on degraded over the years? Yes, the bundle has changed since its 2012 but what about performance?

You assuming they'll do what all other ISP's have done and that is sell capacity they don't have....

I'm assuming (hoping) they do not...

How long do you think VOX have been going for?
It's been like this for a long time.

How does VOX customer base look like (home not business) vs the likes of Telkom and Afrihost etc?
This will give us a good idea.

Might need some re-work depending on your router.
This works perfectly on a TP Link Router :)
Code:
set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WshShell.Run "cmd"
WScript.Sleep 100
WshShell.AppActivate "C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe"
WScript.Sleep 1000
WshShell.SendKeys "telnet 192.168.1.1~"
WScript.Sleep 1000
WshShell.SendKeys "admin~"
WScript.Sleep 1000
WshShell.SendKeys "admin~"
WScript.Sleep 2000
WshShell.SendKeys "wan set service pppoe_8_35_0_d --protocol pppoe --username addAusernameHere --password YourPassWordHere~"
WScript.Sleep 6000
WshShell.SendKeys "~"
WScript.Sleep 1000
WshShell.SendKeys "logout~"
WScript.Sleep 100
Set objWMI = GetObject("winmgmts:{impersonationLevel=impersonat e}")
Set objProcess = objWMI.InstancesOf("Win32_process")
For each Process in objProcess
If (instr(1,lcase(Process.name),lcase("telnet.exe")) > 0) then
Process.terminate 0
End If
Next
WshShell.SendKeys "exit~"

When you have saved the script in a folder. Open Task Scheduler in Windows and add it on a Weekly schedule.

Lastly, double check that you have telnet enabled in Windows Features
I scheduled similar task on my mikrotik router....

Is this normal. JHB server fromt he vox network gives 200 ping only on vox.

Do VOX have an official forum thread? Its midnight and i cant stream 720p on my fat pipe at the moment.

^Lol.

I came here to bitch about poor speeds but I realised Telkom decided I need a 3.5Mbps instead of 7Mbps line... Which would mean I'm getting full line speed
