Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Everything's very snappy at the moment. Honestly I didn't have too many complaints today - it was just last night when I actually had to wait while loading 100KB images - only comment-worthy because VOX is amazing 99% of the time.

Let me know how it goes tonight.

The consumer uncapped is now on our network. The BDSL Uncapped is still on IS network. Just FYI.

Chris when did this change? Assume bolt-on falls under consumer.

It used to flatline the ping at 28/29ms, but for the last month its been bouncing up and down after 6pm from that to about 200ms on some spikes.

+1

I need to run a few tests after 930pm tonight.

If you are an XBOX One player and know about the Party Chat application, and can be on Skype and XBOX tonight, please inbox me with your DSL username and Skype username. I'll get in touch.

This still an issue? Need to raid tonight and hoping Party Chat will be decent.
Please let me know if you still need a guinee pig.

1. It differs. Between 80 and 150GB a month, depending heavily on the amount of streaming I require.
2. Any time of day. My wife also uses said streaming during the day.
3. 2Mb/s, but I am willing to go to 4Mb/s if it isn't too expensive.
4. Let's say R900 at a push.

I would recommend fatpipe lite 25gig + bolt-on @ R148.00. I would take an Axxess 30gb + 30gb @R123 to use during office hours. Total excluding line rental R271

So what you getting is a hybrid uncapped/capped account.

Bolt-on performs better than anything I've ever used before. It's rate limited to 10mb which wouldn't be an issue for you.

How heavy is your usage over the weekends? This is where bolt-on thrives! Log in Friday evening 6pm until Monday morning 6am. Pure bliss all weekend!

Line I would leave with Telkom. What they charging for a 4mb line these days? R425? So R696 all in...

Quite honestly, with a 2Mbps line, you're going to have buffering. If you can afford it, move to the 4Mbps line. Our network streams beautifully.

Thanks for the heads-up. I will stay put then, for now. When there are no network issues, 2Mb/s is more than sufficient.

There have been some serious issues in Cape Town, Telkom has repaired the breaks as far as I know and things are back to normal in Cape Town.

Hey I won't complain...
Could even watch content in 4K last night, never bloody mind 1080p

Yes I still need someone to help test. The faster someone comes forward, the quicker I can resolve. :)
