Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I bought the 50gb fat pipe today. Internet stopped working after only 3GB. I phoned the help desk and was told that's the way it works. The fat pipe is on a pro-rata basis and since I bought it on the 30th of the month I won't get the full 50GB (but I get charged the full amount?)
False advertising at it's best!

you didn't get charged the full amount, check your invoice.

"Product Overview
Fat Pipe is data designed to allow consumers the best possible experience at an affordable price on either ADSL or high-speed VDSL connections. The advantage of the Fat Pipe Data bundles is that all unused data rolls over to the following month and doesn’t expire while you are subscribed to Fat Pipe. The maximum limit of unused (roll over) data is equal to six (6) times your current monthly cap."

AND

If you sign up for a package after the 1st of the month, you will not be billed for the full amount & will assign bandwidth to your account accordingly.

false advertising much ?

please provide a statement by Vox, and proof of contradiction. You've just copy-pasta'd a few lines with no context.

hello,

sorry if this is the incorrect section but I have a Vox 100GB (promotional @ 50% off) and at the time of purchase I was told the data rolls over forever, as long as you keep the product. Has this now changed? If so, why was no email sent to me?

Hasn't changed.

@cvanwie, please clarify?

yes, I put in that section about pro-rata, the product that is advertised on their webpage does not say anything about pro-rata. Only about roll-over and limited to 3 x the monthly cap. Why would they apply pro-rata then?

this part from their webpage is then not true - https://www.voxtelecom.co.za/fatpipe

So at most you'll roll over until you have a cumulative cap of 600GB, which is reasonable.

not the point. NO email was sent to me, and by the sound of sand_man, anyone else. Lack of communication = sign of things to come.

Are you also on the 100GB product?

I don't recall when the 6 month rollover cap was introduced. It may have been present in the fine print from day one. Point is rollover isn't a given, it's a nice to have, a gratis. 6 months is more than reasonable. And if you rolling over more than 6 months worth you don't need it in the first place so adjust your bundle according to your usage patterns.

You said the agreement hasn't changed, did you have a look at the website's listed product overview? You seem to know a lot about Vox, is the website correct? Does this apply to us? Are you ok with this lack of communication?

I'm a bit more concerned over the lack of communication than anything else. That's the point.

If you're rolling over more than 2-3 times your monthly cap, then you're on the wrong package.

If you're unsure about the policy, it's very simple to post here, PM cvanwie or Voxy or just call customer support.
