OK, will change it the minute I get home. Have not had any real issues besides some very slow periods in off peak hrs. Usually after 20:00. Other than that, more than happy with VOX. Thanks for giving us the internet as it should be.

I'd suggest that you use our DNS or Google (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4) with your Vox DSL account.

Whoa, terrible speed with these settings

Download Speed: 3038 kbps (379.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 680 kbps (85 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 104 ms

This is on my 10Mbps line

Having the weirdest issue. My line light is solid on my modem but my internet light isn't lighting up at all. That's weird because it normally goes red if it can't authenticate. I would have definitely thought it's an issue with my ISP but my friend down the road is having the same issue.

Edit: weird. It can't back for about half a minute. My friend said his went out at 3PM directly after he reset his modem but mine only just went out about 25 minutes ago. Telkom told him that it wasn't an issue with them since the line is syncing.

Does Fatpipe use newest data first or oldest data first?

Quota is used first, then top up / carry over is used.

It doesn't matter as we aren't basing the carry over on the age of the data, we are basing the carry over on max value.

@cvanwie, why did my line slow to crawl when I changed the DNS on router to your DNS or Google (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4)?

Now that's great debug, thanks Drifter!

I found a few DNS benchmarking pieces of software
https://code.google.com/p/namebench/
https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

Here are the name servers we permit (wall gardened) even while capped on our network:
196.41.0.10
196.41.0.11
196.22.218.248
209.203.10.208
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4
197.189.212.164
197.242.94.51

I'll let you know what we find on our side.

Suddenly having DNS issues with Google DNS this morning.

cvanwie - what are the Vox dns servers you'd recommend, now that you've resolved whatever problems they had?

EDIT - actually, it appears to be random international connectivity issues, which obviously results in not getting through to Google's servers. Are there any issues in CPT or should I be checking out the various devices my side?

Must've been my side, or a temporary issue - seems to have resolved.
