Really only 3 people had an opinion of this? I think this got buried under the DNS issue.
So what is the FUP based on? What data limit before you get throttled to those speeds?
unless im seeing wrong

Once into a FUP channel, you remain there until the next FUP channel, etc (until the end of the month)
I'll let the image speak for itself.

Very interesting!
Would I be able to keep the 100GB fatpipe for day time use and then the uncapped for after hours?

That would be 2 separate accounts.
Look, it depends on when those FUP settings would kick in. And obviously pricing would be key.
On a 10mb line FUP1 at 300gb's, FUP2 at 500gb's and FUP3 at 600gb's? Price on this package? R499 excluding line rental, R799 including line rental?
EDIT: Like the idea of rate limiting based on usage but becomes complicated for your sales team to explain to customers. Although you would think customers needing an uncapped service would have a basic understanding of the dynamic nature of said account.
Unless I'm missing something, I'm not seeing the advantage of this over fatpipe + bolt-on, unless you want to be downloading 24/7. Being throttled down to a lower line speed amounts to the same as shaping really.
You aren't far off.
As far as the FUP, it will be transparent and posted on our website for all to see.
Shaping usually implies crap/blocked/wont work. A known line speed throttle means it will still work, but just slower.
Ok so let me see if i under stand this.
If i take a 8MB account with FUP1 and i only have a 4MB line , means i will be uncapped at full line at FUP1 slows line to 4096 . 50% my line speed when hitting FUP2 , and 25% line speed at FUP3?
What are the thresholds for FUP stages? so if i can stay in FUP1 i have uncapped account at full line speed?
Or am i way of the mark here?

Maybe relevant on the bolt-on thread? As this could perhaps replace the Fatpipe lite product for some people. I don't normally follow the Fatpipe thread because it is not relevant to me (on fatpipe lite).
Enhancements to the current fatpipe packages ??
Please explain!
Eish, you like to tease? It might be too early for this .. I should wait until the first special is announced.![]()
