Vox Telecom Fatpipe

We have one "network" which is built up from a bunch of services from Telkom, Wacs, Seacom, etc ...

Bolt on, Fatpipe, Fatpipe Lite -- all run over the same network. The difference is how we handle the traffic between the different products.
Thanks for the info. So which thread will be the best to follow if I am on fatpipe lite?

Hey, so the ETA for the ping fixes will be Wednesday or am I wrong, because my ping spikes sometimes from 8-50ms out of nowhere, and my WoW ping from 160-300ms(just standing still) then goes back down, just asking :P, because I'm reading comments and I don't fully understand haha.

Did a speedtest real quick;

20Mbs ADSL2+ sync

eish, what is happening?

Up to you ... but as it's a Fatpipe product, I'd watch it here. The "Bolt on" will not be changing from current implementation.

Should be after Sept 9 after 2am

is this also part of the 9th fix?

Issues in Cape Town are what the 9th fix is about.

We only affect your line speed if you're purchased a Bolt-on package (we rate limit to 10Mbps 6pm-6am weekdays + weekends); or if you've purchased an uncapped product based on line speed; otherwise your line speed is being affected by Telkom infrastructure between your house and our network.

I hardly use FB, but occasionally someone will send me a link to a picture / video to check out there. Pretty much every time this happens, it takes absolutely ages for the page to load. This happened again just now, and I fired up Chrome dev tools to see where the delay was. It took nearly 30 seconds to get a response back from fbstatic-a.akamaihd.net, which I'd assume is FB's video hosting CDN.

@cvanwie - doesn't bother me much since I use FB so infrequently, but maybe worth investigating for others.

How those new uncapped accounts coming along cvanwie?

If that's what was hinted at, going well... just waiting on Product to release to marketing and such... still no date but should be this month sometime.

Are you in Cape Town? If not, where?

Yep - in CPT, though I'm not noticing the slowdown anywhere else on Fatpipe, just with this particular service.

There is a general problem in Cape Town, which will get resolved Sept 9 @ 2am :) Any/every problem in Cape Town, is due to the same issue.

Lovely! Looking forward to it.

On a side note, your VOX fibre capped accounts, does rollover apply to them too?
