Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I am also having streaming issues tonight. Normal HTTP downloads are looking good, so is P2P. I am on the Fatpipe capped special they were running. Been excellent until now. Hopefully it can get sorted soon. Youtube buffering at 480p on 10mb line.

Also in the Northwold area (Sundowner) had 0 issues last night on YouTube and Netflix; call Telkom - reset port OR use our new app and do it yourself :)

Regarding Cape Town: Waiting on an upgrade to come through, should be a few days.

Honestly, though, I'm not going to answer the same thing over and over and over again, there's no need. 20 people all in Cape Town all complaining about the same thing, doesn't require 20 replies on a single forum. =)

Maybe just a time line for the fix? And possibly the generic answer in the first post of the thread (sure the mods can help with that)
 
I had that issue briefly yesterday afternoon. All good now though. Fatpipe, JHB.

Had a look at the graphs, no congestion in JHB yesterday on our network.

Might have been something else involved, like Telkom, or FB, or Akamai, its not always our fault ...

True that, but Vereeniging is very far from Cape Town last time I checked.
 
Been using the 100gb fat pipe for almost a month now and don't have any issues gaming or streaming

We are waiting on a few things from Telkom, I'll check and update in a few. I would guess by Tuesday.

Port reset tool is just awesome! Haven't tried it yet but does the line have to be managed by VOX in order for it to work?

It's a tough crowd in here. Your product will get scrutinized and dissected and explored all day long, every day. Any flaws and/or issues will be found. Nowhere to hide... :o

Great for troubleshooting, not so great if you looking for peace and quiet. :p

Must be a Vox managed line (according to the app developers).

I'd rather not have a sticky about it because the different issues have different resolutions and if a "global type of response" is laid out, it could be detrimental.

Any how... Respect that I can't go into specifics, but it seems like we finally got to the root of the problem with Telkom. We asked for X they gave us K for instance.

We asked for resolution by 12pm today; hold thumbs. I'll reply when I hear that it's been fixed or when it will be if not by 12pm today.

+1 good stuff! I'm happy with the service I have received from your company and the customer service has been great. Happy to hand over my money knowing you are working hard to ensure I get what I pay for and more!

While there are tons and tons of posts about this and that, we do listen because while we might be graphing and monitoring everything we can, but you guys are the ones who experience the problems and raise them when you experience something which you don't think is correct.

The fact that you guys raise them to us, is PRICELESS. So from us to you, thank you guys.

We never ignore an issue, we investigate and work on fixing it.

On a side note, DNS admin told me this morning that he's added an additional 2 DNS Cache servers to the mix, using the dynamically assigned DNS settings should work better; if not, let us know.

so far very happy with VOX,streaming with out a problem,even tho local game ping are unstable

This is a great thing to raise; but the problem with it is that you didn't provide any information for us to look through.

When reporting an issue, the more detail, the easier it is for us to look through it.

A few things to consider including when sharing a "problem" on the forum or calling service center:

* Whats wrong? (high ping, packet loss, buffering)
* From where to where? (trace route/pingplotter view)
* When did it happen (time frame for us to review graphs, change controls, outtage, that sot of thing)
* What region: JHB, CPT, EL, PE, etc

This kind of information helps us help you quicker :)

it jumps from 60 to 100 to 50 to 160 to 25 to 250 so on
but wasnt that unplayable,and streaming work(if it works im happy) so wasent that big of a problem and i read that someother users had problems and vox wating on telkom,so just given it time :)

but if it happen again tonight ill do all that

I can also vouch for @sybertiger issues. Also in the CT area and pings to CS:Go servers (both CT and JHB hosted) chill at like 70 - 80 and spike to 120. Last night I was streaming ESL on Twitch at Low quality when usually I can stream at source.

Anyway, as highlighted, there are known issues so will sit patiently and wait. Just odd that it fires perfectly during the day, but in the evenings, not:
