took a gamble adding your address to that email (thanks for taking your time even after hours, its really appreciated), but you can now see where my problem stems from and why other networks give me full speed and low latency

I believe you are experiencing a problem, I just couldn't narrow it down.

What I believe that trace route is showing, is high latency on the Telkom Upload VLAN into our IPC.

NetOps must confirm. I don't expect a reply tonight about it.

I'm in Cape Town and was in contact with support yesterday about latency problems to Blizzard servers in off-peak times (late afternoon in to early evening, and beyond). An engineer (?) phoned me yesterday evening - was very impressed btw - to get clarification around the specific issues? He intimated there was still a problem here in CT, regarding Blizzard specifically...
I've had three chats with Vox and each person told me a different story.

One said the CT problems had not yet been resolved because the fix had not worked.

One told me the unshaped accounts were not suitable at all for gaming or torrents. This would explain the latency I get on Origin.

Same guy said torrents were illegal anyway.

The last guy said everything was fine with the network.

I get the impression that the tech team are not running things well, and are passing problems up the line, but I'm not sure to whom. I also suspect a problem with their data usage measuring since I used an extraordinary amount this month (plus the so-called rollover).

Sorry to ask, but what does Base Cap mean? It says I got 150GB base cap? I had 50-70gb left last Month says now I have 100gb again xD. Sorry just a little confused.
 
I just spoke with the team who did the upgrade, found a rare use case problem, they are busy with it now.

Have these all been completed? Both of my 100GB promo fatpipe accounts now say they're 150GB accounts, but same story as others, the actual data allocation is still 100GB.
 
CSGO was fine last night. Just as a side note. I bought the 100GB cap when it was on special, will I also be upgraded to 150GB?

My data allocation is also 100gb.
Same here. My two 100GB accounts show as 150 in the Services Summary, but allocated data does not match. Same for my 300GB account showing as 400GB but still 300GB in the allocated at base cap. not a big deal as it's a free upgrade at this point but clearly they're still working on the upgrade issues. Accounts 9011663-7, 9011663-6, 9011663-5
 
Yip my data is still at 100 as well, but the package says 150. Im sure it will get sorted out in time.

Then it must be isolated to the Eastern Cape because it was awful last night.

Regarding your question, I bought 3 100gb accounts on special and they all got upgraded to 150gb.

My pings to Blizzard servers were terrible last night, and I'm in the Western Cape...

which servers? mweb CINX is ****ed and 8/12 nodes are hosted there for Valve. Block the IP range and just play JHB works wonders
