Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Things are still pretty crappy at night in CPT. 3000ms+ pings to the Tygerberg IPC hop makes everything feel sluggish.
I've been having the same issue for ages now. Been told over and over it is an issue with my Telkom line. Had Telkom take a look at the line something like 3 times and they keep telling me there is nothing wrong. I've given up trying to get it solved. Just going to have to move ISP and see if that helps. It is unfortunate because I really like Vox's offering on paper.

I'm in Somerset West, Western Cape and my line is very slow at the moment. My Telkom line is fine - sync speed is 10Mb and noise stats are spot on. Any issues atm Vox?

Please note that there is a failure on the SEACOM Network affecting one of our international links.
There is no negative service impact at present as we have ample capacity remaining on our redundant WACS link.

There is no known root cause or ETTR at present.
We will update this forum as soon as any feedback on the disruption has been provided.

I just spoke to their support and was told nothing is wrong, but my international bandwidth is shockingly slow ATM

Did we just loose international compleatly?

I am getting 10KBs on an HTTP download, estimated 10 Hours for a 200Mb file and an Australian based Forum I have been using all morning is now failing to open.

Sites in England open very slowly.

Only Local is running normally for me.

Switched back to my Telkom account and that same 200MB file is now coming down at 1.20MBs.
The download finished in less time than it took to type this message.
VOX you need more peering links or more redundancy.
 
Hmm, odd things happening in the background ... earlier this morning my uncapped bolt-on usage was applied to my daily cap and the account became incorrectly capped with the capped message appearing ... now reversed and working again.

We have observed some increased latency and packet loss to international destinations.
