Vox Telecom Fatpipe

WTF vox.

Im on a 10 meg line and I'm limited to 2 meg for streaming.

This is streaming 12 videos at once

3AM and twitch can't stream for 8 seconds without buffering. And this is on LOW!

just had to switch accounts just to browse mybb.

its really terrible

downloading been less than 100kbps since around 16.00
 
300kbps on my fatpipe on a 10mb line running at 12mb... terrible.

like this weekends since january..

guess we're now getting what we pay for!

Same issues here, support team says there is nothing wrong. I switched to my TI account since Sat and haven't had a single issue.

Also had same issues. Couldnt even browse. Speed test didnt even start download, ping was 1902 ms.
 
still getting high latency in the evenings( ~400ms local)
day time is fine
 
Really disappointed in the support from Vox. 4 weeks and still no explanation or apology for phantom data usage with no active session on my Gig4Gig account. Think I'll be going elsewhere when fibre is activated in our area.

Did you post anything on the forum, 4 weeks ago ? (haven't been into your profile to check) - if not, I wish you would have. I detailed exactly the same type of unexplained usage on my Gig4Gig during peak times here - http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...ack-thread?p=17070290&highlight=#post17070290 - with other posts, e-mail to Vox, Private Messages to Voxy, and there was no one to back me up, then.

Vox - through their rep who was dealing with me - claimed I was the only one complaining about this issue, but now I know that there is more to this story, and they were covering up something wrong on their end. MY CONCLUSION IN ALL THIS IS THAT THEY ARE UNTRUSTWORTHY .... they've wasted a lot of my time in unnecessary testing (including a test account for a few days, and not using my own Gig4Gig with Bolt-on), when they knew more all the time. :mad:

I got billed for excess usage on my g4g on my January invoice. Got it reversed though. I've been fat pipe since early December. It did make me question my previous excess usage charges though.

That's why I sounded that warning weeks ago.

I PM'd Voxxy directly, I also phoned their support (who don't comprehend usage has to correlate with an accompanying session). Basically I switched to my other Vox DSL account at 5:50am (my PPPOE logs show this and so does the Vox session page), before Bolt-On usage ended, then I started getting emails about usage on my G4G account from 7am onwards. Apparently I "used" 1GB between 7am and 8am yet I was not even connected to my account and there was no active session for that period, their session logs proved that. At 8:30am I switched back to my Bolt-On to see if I was indeed capped, I was. Their session logs had my connection at 8:30am.

So some how their system recorded me "using" 1GB without an active session.

There is a bug in there system or something but there is definitely an issue. I don't care for the 1GB, I would happily have paid for it, just I want to know what caused it and what is preventing this from happening more often?

Relatively sure the 100GB specials were said to be locked for the duration of service.
