Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Something is not lekker... 20mbit here, speedtest says 18.9mbit (which is fine) - but its taking 9 hours to download a 3gb update on PS4. checked NNTP and its maxing out at 400kBps.

Is Vox doing some serious shaping??

I've rebooted my router and it seems to have helped...

Seeing the exact same thing.

Reboot didn't help.

It was so slow I couldn't even submit this post.

Switching to backup account at other ISP fixed it.

Also seeing the exact same thing with regards to NNTP, also on a 20Mbps line and it's hovering at between 400KB/s and 500KB/s.

Streaming and a Ubuntu torrent I keep for testing is working line speed, looks like some shaping taking place.

Back to speed this morning.

Http downloads were also very slow @500Kb/s last night, so I don't know what was going on there.

WhatsApp and Periscope issues are back again though.

Dear Customer,

Please note that there will be planned work on our Johannesburg ADSL infrastructure.
Customers in the Johannesburg region may experience problems with increased latency.

Maintenance will commence at 00:01 AM tonight and will be completed by 09:00 AM tomorrow morning.

Regards,
Vox Telecom

Hi

There are no known international issues at present.

May I please ask that you contact our support centre for further investigation?

Funny how so many of us have exactly the same problem - but we must of course individually contact your support centre -

Hi requiem

I apologise for this, but Mybroadband is not the best place for us to troubleshoot.

We can keep you updated with any know issues though.

Syncing at 12Mbps but struggle to sustain anything above 700KBps regardless of time of day.

Vox has really gone down hill. I rarely get 720p streams anymore and now constant speed drops below upload speed. What will it take to get stable speeds again?

Lets put it this way. My free afrihost 1gb account outperforms my vox most of the time. A service I pay for and over pay to get priority.

Since the bandwidth went from "business" on speed check to "Vox telecom" it has gone down hill...

@voxy Hello. Please advise as to why zero rated data has been removed from the vox app? How do we check our zero rated data usage now?

Hi All,

On the 11 March we experienced a glitch in our Subscriber management system which resulted in usage data being reset, Subscribers have had full access with no cap enforcement since.

ADSL, Mobile data and FTTH and FTTB are some of the product ranges that were effected.

We are implementing the fix today to correct the usage and cap information and will communicate updates accordingly.
Customers will not be billed for any additional usage incurred. Customers with roll over data will be adjusted accordingly.
