Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Having some trouble here with WhatsApp. For some or other reason, since Sunday evening, WhatsApp is not working over my WiFi connection. I'm using Vox Telecom (Fatpipe), so that's why I'm posting here. I don't know what the cause is. I think it's working on other WiFi connections (but may need to confirm). Is there any way it could be an ISP thing? I have no clue. The internet is however working just fine (and updating on the Play Store etc on my WiFi is all working perfectly).

EDIT: Just sent a WhatsApp message on another WiFi network and it works perfectly. But still no joy this morning at home.

UPDATE: It was an app on my phone (Adblocker Reborn) that suddenly started giving issues.

Dropbox throttling on Fatpipe I get 123KB/sec, Axxess i get 1254KB/sec.

Does Vox throttle Dropbox now?

Does anyone know how many concurrent connections the 1TB Fatpipe Promo allows?

Last connected on FPP Friday night just after midnight and performance was slow. Reconnected back after using the bolt-on account and seems fast again

Johannesburg
Code:
Ping: 29ms
Download: 8.76Mbps
Upload: 0.89Mbps

Keep it running for a few hours and see.

Just like to throw a bit of praise VOX's way... since I been with them for probably coming on 2 years now, I've noticed I never really have to check the forums to see if anyone else is experiencing issues etc.. Think I can recall one small hiccup in all this time. Not something I can say of my previous providers Afrihost/WebAfrica where it felt like I was checking these forums every other week or month at best. I've kept small backup accounts at other providers all this time that I used to have to use frequently, but I've not used them once since switching to VOX. Big ups.

I've just cancelled with Afrihost. Shopping around for an ISP I can move to. I've been a serious DSL ISP slut. I think I've had a go with just about everyone

I know there is no such thing as a perfect ISP. I don't expect Vox to be any different, but can anyone confirm these few basic things that I do expect. Can anyone confirm what i will get and what I won't get with Vox in the following list of marginally important things. (Disclaimer: These are things that are important to me, might not be important to anyone else.)

1. Transparency in knowing that I'm getting what I'm paying for. If they say its unshaped capped DSL then I don't have to wonder if it really is unshaped while waiting for 20 minutes to watch a 3 min Ozzyman video on you tube (unlike with Afrihost for example ** true story btw **)

2. When something does go wrong, they man up and let us know that something is wrong so that I won't go on a wild goose chase interrogating my neighbours at gunpoint cos I think they hacked my wifes ipad.

3. They have a basic customer portal. No bells and whistles, just something good enough that I can monitor usage

4. If I need to top up for whatever reason, I can and I'm not gonna be ripped off and spend the equivalent of a months mortgage on 50GB data. (Ja, I'm looking at you Afrihost)

5. I get an invoice on time and I can pay however I choose - debit order / EFT / CC

6. They won't get hacked and change my password every. single. day. (hello crystal web)

7. I have decent internet speeds that gives me at least 70% capacity of my 10mbps line. (I'm not one of those okes that are gonna throw a hissy if my line speed is not exactly 10mbps. but i will throw a hissy if at certain times it's not usable at all.)

8. Decent enough latency for gaming even though the area I live in is as congested as Paul Mason's bowels.

9. I can use my DSL at home with my wife and kids and I can use it at my girlfriends place concurrently ;)

You sure don't ask a lot do you ;)

1. Not even sure what their promises are, but on the home fatpipe account, everything always seems fullspeed. Torrents included.
2. Something went wrong once, and they fixed it quickly. But no dedicated status platform AFAIK, which I do think is a bit ****, but honestly, there was just that one time, so I haven't particularly missed it. Can't say what the future holds ;)
3. Sure.
4. No clue, I signed up for one of their promo accounts for 200GB pm which at some point converted into a 400GB account. Their rollover means I have more data than I know what to do with (currently sitting at over 2.7 TB's).
5. Mine's on auto-credit card payment, no issues there.
6. Is that even a thing?
7. Has been the case for the past ~2 years or so...
8. If your exchange in congested, ain't no ISP that can perform miracles there!
9. 2 concurrent connections allowed on fatepipe home according to their T&C's.
