Vox Telecom Fatpipe

I put in my cancellation for the bolt-on product last month. The Telkom Uncapped deals offer the same or more value.

Another unhappy person here - I loved my Bolt On - set and forget

Which Telkom Uncapped deal is equivalent to what I currently have:

Fat Pipe 200: 170.00
Bolt-on: 66.07

Total: 236.07

Anyway, i have 1368 Gig rollover remaining, so I'll have to monitor that and see how much it reduces by and how fast (I was basically only using the Bolt on between 18h00 and midnight for teenagers internet and old folks Netflix)

Blech, just liked the convenience of the damned thing

Telkom Uncapped throws in the free daytime calls and works out to about R99 if you add the cost of Getting 4mbps plus a phone line. Plus it comes with free Night Surfer.

Telkom 4mbps Uncapped is 180gb until you hit the first throttle threshold where you speed is reduced to 2mbps between 7pm and 9pm. Thereafter it's another 90gb until the next threshold. In total you can do 360gb plus Night Surfer data that doesn't add to your usage.

Thanks.

My Bolt-On runs at 10meg on my Fibre line

Sigh...now I have to go research again to see what to switch to once the rollover runs out.

My cuz is on the 960gb 10mbps Telkom Uncapped for R799. It's been smooth sailing on his side.

Has anybody else had issues streaming twitch.tv this week? I'm on a 10Mb line and it can't go above 160p without buffering. I used to be able to do 720p no problem. I even tried this morning at 06:30 when the network should be quiet and still I can't go over 160p without extreme buffering.

For this whole year so far I have had trouble streaming anything but NETFLIX.
Netflix is fine 24/7 but youtube, twitch and less reputable streaming services are hit and miss from 4pm to midnight.
If what the wife wants to watch is not on NETFLIX I have to download it for her in advance.
We now have virtually unlimited bandwith and 10meg lines but are back to the prestreeaming days if you actually want to watch something in the evenings.

I have to admit, nothing against Vox, but seeing as I already use Axxess mobile I added a 200GB capped account and now use that on my 40mbps VDSL. It is noticeably faster that Vox.

Up until now I've been happily using a Gig4Gig Home account with the Uncapped Bolt-On. They've pretty much forced my hand to move to the 100GB FatPipe account as of next month.

I hope it's not going to be as bad as people are saying. :(

^ There's a Vumatel issue affecting Vox Fibre. Has been since yesterday... No indication when it'll be sorted 'tho.

Did Cape Town just go offline?
On inprogress download timed out.
two that had less than 5 min to go are now saying ~6 Hours.
Speed test took ages to load and now reports 2.32Mbps on a 12Mbps line.
and Web pages are timing out and have to be refreshed 4 or 5 times to load.

It was fine till noon, then died, and last night I couldn't stream anything, even Netflix was playing up.

Buy some more capacity if you are going to sign up more accounts.
If I get only 4% throughput can I only pay 4% of the cost?

Experiencing the same here... 40Mbs VDSL in CT ... time-outs, slow downloads and buffer-fest on streaming services, even radio.

Grrrr... sigh.

What is up VOX?

I switched to my Telkom account and streaming was fine, I had 10Mbps speed test to London and New York, and downloads were maxing out the line, so it was definitely not exchange congestion.
