Voxtelecom Fatpipe ADSL

Hi there

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to add the uncapped bolt-on package to this deal?

Thanks

More likely a Speedtest thing tbh.
Try doing a test on http://slvr.pw/internet and see if it does the same thing.

Thanks mate - your Speedest shoots in at line speed on same VOX account. I attached Speedtest.net pic to show "Slow Ramp Up"

First VOX then CW on same line

^^Take note of the initial Spike then Falls down then up

CW account

Any ideas?

Does this have any real effect on real world usage?

It does - it causes a "lag" when opening pages... click - wait - page appears.
It is noticeable from other ISP's to this VOX account.

As I said AH - CW my recent accounts don't show this "lag"

Wait, please explain why you guys have reacted this way.
Does this "shaping" effect you?
Is it noticeable?
I have never seen my VOX Fat Pipe account being shaped.
On all protocols.

cancelled my 75gb fatpipe with them, and got the 100gb.

Nothing better than saving R100 for 25gb more, now just to use the 300gb i've rolled over

Went for the fatpipe deal at Vox a few days ago, just after the deal was advertized and left Afrihost, because I could not work with the situation and ever changing network performance at Afrihost. No problems with application and the first night. Had a ping of 28, but the last 2 days I could not even open my Google home page. Changed back to my Afrihost user that will expire at the end of the month and ping went to 18 and download not bad. These ISP's are going up and down and users are changing and moving to what is best at that moment. All we need is reliable workable internet, but with the power issues and "domestic violence" what can we expect? Is it better to add the DNS's for Vox manually? Anybody else having very slow speeds with Vox currently?

Nope working fine for me, you can try add their DNS and see if it works for you

Try:
196.22.218.248
209.203.10.208

or
196.41.0.10
196.41.0.11

both belongs to vox

I managed to chew through 40GB this past weekend. I'm just riding out my CW account to go on to Vox fulltime.

ISP have a scaling problem: Great with a low number of users, but struggle when they become over-subscribed. The ISP that manages to extend their uptime the longest, rules for the longest.
