VUMA which ISP

Hi people

What is the best ISP on VUMA in the Southern Burb area.

When I say "best" I just mean ISP that rarely has any issues line gets the speed or damn close to what I am paying for.

Should there be issue it get resolved quick and smoothly.

I am with Afrihost on ADSL and the line works I get what I need from it, on occasion the speed drops but mostly ok.

VUMA installing line into complex in July.
 
Every persons idea of "Best" is down to personal preference and experience but you are never going to have a near perfect experience with any ISP, and yes there are the 1% that literally have a near perfect 99.9% uptime etc.

One ISP might be amazing for somebody but utter rubbish for another... its all relative. That being said, I have had Cool Ideas for my install now since it was completed in Feb and I have had 1 incident only and it was Vumas fault.
I know a number of people on Cool Ideas and they have no issues at all, and 2 or 3 that have a lot of hate for the support.

My suggestion is to look at:
Cool Ideas
Web sQuad
Bitco

If you like the big names
Afrihost
Mweb
Vox

I agree "best" is relative.

Maybe I should have mentioned when I said southern burbs I mean in Cape Town as I have also read and heard where issues are sometimes area dependent.

Any one in the southern burbs in Cape Town that are using the above and how are you finding them.
 
I would highly recommend MacroLan/Seacom. Get the speed I pay for and almost never have downtime.
 
im quite happy with VOX, hardly any issues with them and latencies are good and my netflix never buffers, 100mb line
 
Supersonic. Backed by MTN Business network it's the best of the best.
 
Anothe Vox vote.

Been with them for more than two years now and the two times it was down was Vumatel related... Every provider on the network was affected.

My dealings with support relate to those Vuma issues and the folk at Vox were top class.

I have a very unscientific theory based on MyBB thread length... the longer the thread, the more issues (yeah you Afrihost)... Vox’s thread is something like two pages.
