VUMATEL - No support, no internet, nothing.

Everyone in the Goodwood area is down since 6am this morning.

Our ISPs all say they can't do anything because it's a fault on Vumatel's side.

We cannot reach them in any format. Their support@vumatel.co.za email address bounces mail back. Their Twitter is dead all day. You can't reach them via Facebook or any other site.

You're telling me you're a tech company that just doesn't work on a Sunday? Is the whole organisation observing the Sabbath?

I am beyond frustrated.

Yip, was down for most of the day, almost 12 hrs

There were about 3 vehicles at the main hub in Tygerdal, but most most of the technicians was just standing around outside the building most of the time ‍♂️

your ISP should have a status page - if they don't check any other ISP they normally keep these updated.

My ISP Home-Connect's network status shows all green! And that it's May 2020! And my internet is down, AGAIN. So yeah, I'm pretty annoyed now. I'm unfortunately stuck with Vuma in my area, but I'm going to look at other ISPs. Seriously irritated with them right now.

Basically they are piss poor when it comes to service. They will refer you to ISP, who will say it's Vumatel, and that they are sorry, they cannot give you an estimated time for repairs to be done, etc etc.

Also amazing how Vumatel shut down their call centre permanently on 1 April 2021. So not only are they making you pay more for your internet (personally I am paying 25% more thanks to Vumatel's hikes over the past year), they now also provide you with less of a service. Doing their absolute best to become the new Telkom.
