VW Golf 7

Wonder if this trick will work on the Golf 7

Even so, I doub't that it's any real security threat at all, as the comment in that YouTube video says:

You also have to have a key cut to match the ignition barrel. its a pretty organised thief that can cut a vw key blade, gain entry to a vehicle and attempt to start the car in the time that the immobiliser take to "forget" the previous key code

I'm sure they just took the transponder they cut out and put it next to the key reader to "prove" that it starts without the transponder. Hell, my Citi checks for a coded key every time I start, so no reason to believe VW has changed that behaviour recently.

So, the A5 Sportback is a station wagon?
Dammit!

I must say this TSI G7 with the R-Line pack looks just great. If you don't know your cars you could quite easily fool people into thinking you rolling with a GTI.

R-Line pack is R12 900.

Doubt it - It's missing the exhausts, rims, scoops and badges. Everyone knows the GTI. :p

Lol..we are not the "target audience".

I'm referring to the people like Q: "What colour was that car". A: "I dunno; it was a white one". Of course the GTI heritage is known the world over.So a non-car person seeing sporty R-Line Golf hatch would be sporty VW hatch = GTI...lolz

Thread necro
Could not find a Golf SV thread, so thought this was the most fitting place.

Saw a 2017 Golf SV demo going for a steal yesterday and got me interested.
Anyone that can share their experience/owning a SV?

Getting the "right" one second hand will be a challenge, as VWSA did not sell many.
