VW recalls Polo

something i meant to ask quite a while ago, but never got round to or forgot ...........those of you that had your turbo's replaced as part of the recall...............does your turbo now whistle a lot more and louder than before when getting on the gas? If i give mine some foot the turbo really screams especially 2nd and 3rd,but it's noticeable in all gears, much louder than it did before it was swapped out. I can even hear it whistling as I drive along @120km/h in 6th....anybody else notice this?

anybody with there warrant swap out stories?

Not many buyers, 4000 odd no wonder they're recalling it

I'm a recall coordinator. My job is to apply the formula. Take the number of vehicles in the field, (A), and multiply it by the probable rate of failure, (B), then multiply the result by the average out-of-court settlement, (C). A times B times C equals X... If X is less than the cost of a recall, we don't do one.

Probably worth them doing a recall

LMAO - Alfa should have recalled cars YEARS ago! LMAO

but we know how to fix them better than Alfa does...go figure!

I actually like that sound, happens some days with mine, think its weather and fuel related... It sounds good on a cold night.
Dont think its a problem with the turbo or engine...

it's not that sweet turbo sound, which mine had before the warranty swap out, it's more of a high pitched whine even at cruising speeds? i can even hear it over the radio,with the windows closed @120km/h ..I think I'm going to take it in.

Well I didn't get a chance to book it in.the warranty recall turbo went pop on wed night. Nice long weekend without a car,yay.knew there was something wrong with the 'new' turbo. Rather poor really,car has only done 6000km since the recall swap out.oh well.
