W Cape 'will be ungovernable'

Because the DA might not choose woman, but they choose competent non-criminals as a result.

Why does the ANC insist on filling it's positions with corrupt individuals just to meet their quotas?

Wasn't there a competent, non-criminal woman to choose?
The women in the DA are either criminals or incompetent or both. :D

I think it remains to be seen how competent they are just as it remains to be seen how incompetent the ANC are.

Time shall tell.

so because some one has a vagina it entitles them to get a job over a man that worked harder? fuk off with this this bull **** she can get a job if she works for it just like any man fuk this quota crap.

With regards to education, which I've mentioned before. The current issues relate to administration of the system, procurement, delivering textbooks etc.. Theuns Botha is one of the most senior DA officials.

Helen Zille, former education MEC, was a journalist in her days. Educated, but not specifically in education. That did not stop her from exposing corruption, breaking ground in terms of school governing bodies etc.

Fixed.

Well, the ANC has 4 times as many women to choose from and they can't seem to find competent, non-criminal woman. Following the ANCs statistics it does seem to be impossible for Zille to have found any woman for her cabinet that are competent non-criminals, thanks for pointing that out.

Nobody is saying that philosopher. I think people are just finding it hard to imagine there wasn't a single woman who was able to competently fill one of Zille's posts.

I also have an inkling that had the ANC had an all male cabinet Zille would be very quick to come out and say they were discriminating.

But i've come to the conclusion that politics is a case of when the shoe is on the other foot it doesn't matter. Regardless who the political party is.

Yes that line has been posted ad nauseam. Please don't post it again.;)
No one disputes it however it is a bit curious that not even a single woman is capable enough to serve in Hellen's cabinet.
It became even more curious when the guy appointed as Educatiion MEC admitted to having to read up on the DA's education policy. That could mean that he has not even been involved in the education related committees. How then can we assume that he can deliver, when he has not even demonstrated any particular interest in the sector?

Capable/competent < Best

When you are having a heart transplant do you want a surgeon that is capable? Or do you want the best? Well surgery on 1 little person is nothing compared to governance.

Pick your priority.. Representation of everyone, or the best chance at success for everyone. Those are your two options.

Doesn't the ANC answer that question by using the private sector health services rather than the public sector ones.

Mind you - there are some top notch experts in the public sector so maybe perceptions do come into play.

The national cabinet is not representative of the demographics. The ANC fudge that by counting deputy ministers.

ANC members and supporters: Do you agree and support this move from MK?

If no to the above, should the ANC speak out against this?

If yes to the above, would you be mad if the ANC does nothing and would you then agree that the ANC does not have the best interests of the country at heart?

Will any of the ANC members answer the question ?

Would've been great if the Western Cape could've recieved Soverignity like Qubec was given in Canada.

Its definately on a different class to the rest of Africa / South Africa

I certainly wouldn't want someone who is going to need to read up on the surgical procedures just before they operated on me...I'd much rather prefer someone with hands on experience and a good track record to boot.

Don't hold your breath. This is not the first time I've asked questions like these. I've never gotten a reply to these types of questions in the past.

The ANC just ignore you.

Has anyone come out and publically said they are an ANC supporter?

Who according to you is an ANC member?

Because we disagree with some of the things the DA says or aren't so quick to crucify the ANC everyday doesn't really mean we are part of the ANC.

I just see both sides of the story.

Really? Because you apologists are always going on about how it is not an issue for heads of departments to change to entirely different departments they know nothing about, because "management" is "management". Correct?
The ANC does this all the time, but the DA does this with one placement and its an issue?

More than one person that is active in the news and current affairs section have said they support the ANC
