WarDRIVING has begun

Thank God I got divorced .........

We should get something like this

256, 36 Bedfordview
Signal : 11 S-N-L : 4
BER : 28% Patch - Batenna

Did you get any closer to figuring out why the modem picks up the incorrect tower? I keep picking up a tower which is out of range (i.e. over 5.7Km away) and there is a tower much closer to me, 4.8KM's

Any ideas.

And dont rip someone who wants to join Amway. Its difficult enough having to ask family frinds to buy your toothpaste, but the concept can work if done properly.

You handled this negativity very well TowerGuy! Im sure your upline will be pleased.

No, I am not a part of Amway and never will be...

Cape Town 128K 18% Tower 22 (Salt River) PPPoE, IPCop

thanks for your support.

BTW its now about switching point of purchase and not selling door to door. Its selling a dream. When you subscribe to that dream you naturally want to switch

thats why Vodacom is involved coz why would i switch my MTN cell number to Vodacom after 10 years? Only because I earn 'loyalty points'

its like if you owned a BMW dealership would you drive a Mercedes?

ps my only real upline is my wife

I think we should have a go at IPW ...... they were named to the RedHerring 100, but there is something fishy. [?]

Perhaps they need some of the flak. IPW has been out here more than once (unless that is another lie) and nothing much has changed.

It would be a breath of fresh air if we could get tower AND frequency selectable firmware. Not that it would help the speed much but it makes switching towers a viable option.

I'm up for a drive in PTA ........[:D]

Maybe we can try one of those opentop busses this time ?

With a nice banner on the side to compliment Sentech .........

K, been watching the modems tower selection thoroughly during one of my (very frequent) tower outages earlier this week, the selection goes as follows, Modem finds a tower, disconnects, finds a 2nd tower, disconnects, and then picks a tower and locks on, I assume it selects the tower that had strongest signal, and if it can't find a 2nd tower, the 2nd connection will remain locked on.
