Smart watch is a money pit. It will get outdated. My Omega will run long after I am dead. I travel a lot and having an accurate watch is worth more to me then one more thing I have to charge.

Money pit? Bought my Fenix 5s almost 4-5 years ago although its not the latest tech does everything it has to. Dont buy a gimmick then buy a rock solid one to start with.

Technically it can't.. In 10 years you won't even have a Apple watch.. You will wear some form of AR glasses. Whereas something like a Rolex, will still work in 10 years and you can have it in the family like an heirloom. Applewatch won't work so great in 10 years and some master craftsman didn't spend hours of his time to make it haha

There are at least 3,000,000 Taiwanese master craftsmen who would disagree with you.

AS much as I would love to wear a mechanical watch again I wear my Garmin Fenix 24/7 tracking my fitness at present is more important than the watch

Between the 6X and the 7X, any major difference?

I'm specifically interested in the body battery function, your opinion on style and how accurate you feel the Fenix range is.

Your answer might see me replace my Watch4 (long overdue)

Cant really comment the big driver for me getting the 5s in particular is the smaller size. I change the strap to a metal bracelet and can wear it under formal work shirts no problem.

Something you might want to consider as the X are huge if im not mistaken.

But I havent followed their tech dev to closely so Im not certain of those differences.

Mine lasts 2 weeks almost with an hour to 1.5h "active tracking" then I wear it 247 for other fitness metric tracking step HRM etc
