Web Africa ADSL general feedback

Nah, 285ms now (which is more or less the norm for my non leatrix'd, non proxy connection).

In all honesty, the results appearing on MyBB specifically are drastically different to both the Web Africa Forums, Twitter and even our call centre. Currently, not a single ADSL call waiting in the queue - and 3 tickets waiting to get done, all for >30 mins.
We can't pin-point any issues, there doesn't seem to be a trend on what is slow and how it's being affected.

Thx but no thx clearly WA service levels are getting worse and iam not gonna continue paying for a so called better service which cost more then the other ISP. I have not used my WA account since the start of august. I will cancel my account tonight had enough.

It is looking good sofar at home, 250ms latency in game. Will see how the rest of the evening pans out.
 
Nope, I'm not saying that MyBB users are making this up, LOL! My bad if it came out like that, just mentioning that things have been quiet everywhere else but here. I chatted to the Networking Engineer who has been digging through the network, still unable to find any issues here.

Let's test it tonight, do some raids and game a bit. If latencies are high, drop [email protected] a mail who will analyse the results and pass onto the Networking Team if need be. I'll also pop up to Networking and get some more feedback on this.
 
Seems to be up and downs.

Download Speed: 670 kbps (83.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 313 kbps (39.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 208 ms

This is my WA line speed test on 1mb line, I can DL fine but gaming is completely out! Latency spikes 200-5000

Can't remember when the last time was that I got anywhere close to 3.2Mb/s which was what my line did through WA account for several years:

 
had a near perfect night tonight. Latency never went over 250ms, and everything were smooth sailing. Hope this lasts :D
 
Same here although my mouse packed up and the backup mouse also gave me grief! :D

Latency: 201 ms

I wonder if I could get a discount seeing as I am getting under 50% of my 4Mbps line.
 
I got perfect latency in WOW from 20:00, sub 300ms and this morning as well.
 
Latency were higher again last night, but at least no disconnects. Hope to get back to the levels of Monday night.
 
Yea had high latency as well last night, and some bad spikes. Downloading is not the issue, its gaming. Best I had was on the 5th and then not again.
 
No issues on my side (I ran 5 man instances). Pity about the poor quality PUGs though ... I did find d/loading an issue as I am getting only around 1.8Mbps on my 4Mbps line.
 
Up playable 18:20 something somewhere for me is off again.

WA just dies randomly i have to rest my router for it to come bk up, I get disconnected from wow and internet also goes down. Latency seems ok

Does not happen on my telkom account
