Web Africa ADSL general feedback

My housemates WoW latency was normal and very playable, and he was raiding too last night. Anyone playing now or tonight? Please post up here if you notice anything out of the normal.
We're in CT.

Will not be able to test much over the weekend, as we will be away till Sunday. Last night for me it was laggish again, though with 450ms latency (where it usualy is below 300, and afrihost gave me 240ms last night) I switched to the more stable connection for raiding.

Based in Randburg CBD and we seem to be steadily heading towards a repeat process of the other day - browsing is getting slower and slower. :-(

Extremely slow on WA account with 4Mb/s line.

Cannot even open Speedtest.net.

Please note that this issue is still being worked on and has been escalated with the highest priority to the highest levels with our upstream providers. We will post updates as more information becomes available.

Hey WAJeff. As a matter of interest. I am also CT based, but had been one of the unfortunates that had to sit with this ruddy awful latency issues in wow for the most of August.

Since Monday, I have been on Afrihost having some decent gameplay for a change, being extremely dissatisfied with WA's responses and apparent disregard of the gaming community. I'll retry WA this evening.

Your housemates... have they encountered the exact same issues as we did over the past few weeks or was this just a test you conducted last night? Presuming they have been using WA as their ISP.

Just logged into WOW, will update in about an hours time.

Three hours later and WebAfrica is still not playing along.

Hope their techs did not quit for the weekend, otherwise they are going to have a ****storm breaking over their heads on Monday.

Getting this with Afrihost backup account:

Conspiracy theory: Could Telkom perhaps be pissed off at Matthew for exposing their incompetence in getting the previous issue resolved, and be doing this on purpose?

Played till now, some spikes(very little) in 5man, have not done 10man yet, but over all average 300ms, so for me that is GOOD!!

Seems to be working nicely this morning.

Hope they can keep it like this.

Everyone still okay? I was fine till 10min ago and everything just shot through the roof, WOW's home latency is 7000.

Just logged to Openweb account and sitting at 315ms and web browsing also much faster.

Did something go at WA again or not?

Could be. International browsing is very slow at the moment.

For me, I am enjoying some moments of speed!!

I have been battling with WA since last year to get my latency sorted out (Yes it is Telkom related but they have my line). Today all is good as normally my latency is high 500's. Every now and again, it is like it is today and things are just so much more enjoyable. Long may this last and I do hope you guys battling are soon back at speed

Definitively problems, I even get random disconnections, and both world and home latency are over 1000. So the problem they had seems to be back...sign
