Yup, current client. Been with them for 3 or 4 months now. Was also with them back in the day for a few years.

My problems did happen from around 6pm, and the BF4 issues started during the wee hours of the morning (00:00 - 01:00). The point where I was about to smash my controller was however during this morning, from 09:00 - 11:00. Will test again tonight, if it is only during the day that the service becomes unusable I will get a capped account for those purposes.

Between Afrihost, Mweb and Webafrica, WA wins so far. Afrihost's CPT issues might get resolved at some point, so perhaps they will improve.

There's your problem right there. It's better on PC. :)
 
Anyone know if its possible to switch between a capped and uncapped account? Thought I'd try uncapped for a month.
 
Currently my account is on 3 stars, GMail is almost unusable. Why is that?

I've been on 3stars quite often with not much difference in account speed. It's only at 2stars when things get really slow.
 
Just to add to my post, I have 0 packet loss, no malware whatsoever and I am also using your 80GB R1 promo account which runs perfectly. The throttling and shaping of packets on your uncapped account is what is causing the problem for GMail.
 
It just seems that the 3 star rating feels how the old 2 star rating was +- 6months back.
 
Anyone else having issues? I can't use my account - had to switch to Afrihosts free 1GB

Had the same problem last week (post 3155). Dunno what they did, but it came back the next day after a few emails.

I'm looking to change my ISP from Afrihost and get a 10Mb uncapped account.
What's Web Africa like in terms of network quality and service?

I'd like a consistent service. I run Netflix and Hulu and they fluctuate more than the number of eTags [reportedly] sold.

Can you can recommend Web Africa?

I can recommend their capped accounts - I can't remember the last time I had any issues, I've been with them for years.

I can't vouch for uncapped though (which is what I guess you would prefer for Netflix and Hulu).

Yep, sorry I should have specified - I'm looking at a 10Mb uncapped account, so yeah, would prefer someone who has a similar account please.

Rather with go with 10MB uncapped Business.

It will be the same as Home Capped and will be perfect for streaming.

Thanks, but just not keen on paying R400 more than I'm currently paying with Afrihost.
Their 10Mb uncapped bundles are both R900, which would be perfect if WA is indeed better than Afrihost.
Hope this makes sense?

I'm currently on 10Meg business and its the best streaming account I've ever had.

Depending on your monthly usage, another option would be a high volume capped account maybe?

I am on one of the MyBB capped accounts and would say that +95% of the time it performs (10 meg line). My bigger frustrations have been with mixed support (person dependant) but for day to day stuff, more than happy. Just my 2 cents :)

Hope you come right with a good set up whichever way you end up going
