Web Africa ADSL general feedback

You can get uncapped unshaped but you have to pay for it.
 
so sad they say that path of exile fall under shaping due to the ports it uses, it uses less bandwidth than ****ing dota 2 but they dont shape that no. nor do they shape diablo 3 or world of warcraft.

I have to bypass there ****ty shaping with a $9 p/m app just to play path of exile.

I've already cancelled my WA accounts. Unfortunately, they will only be 100% ****ed off at the end of next month. **** their 1-month notice cancellation policy.

I can't believe it's this hard to find a good ISP, no one is offering true unshaped uncapped without a threshold, besides AH, but that's a story for another time...

It seems WA is throttling all iOS AppStore downloads. Anybody else experiencing this? I am extremely irritated with WA .

Hi Shard,

The download plus promo has no effect on usage between 6am-12 midnight as its a different set of bandwidth allocations so the issues on the network now is not due to the promo.

Not everybody with an Apple device uses WebAfrica nor is everyone with an Apple device updating via ADSL even. It doesn't seem very likely that there have been an extremely high amount of people constantly updating their devices to iOS 8 for the past day or so!?!

Hi PsyClown,

Our network was working perfectly prior to the release of the update and as soon as the update was released the demand increased exponentially. Our team confirmed that there was no other issues on our network so there is a direct correlation between the iOS8 update and the increased demand especially considering the size of the update.

The demand should subside soon and things should return to normal shortly.

Any data usage between 06h00-00h00 counts towards your star rating. We do not throttle based what protocol is used but for the amount of data used.
