Same here. My "Uncapped category" shows as affected (~10gb/day on 4mb line is too high, srsly?), but the connection is unusable currently. I've been in this "category" before and it only (mainly?) affected the speed of P2P, which made me think something else was wrong...

Hope they sort this out soon :/ Or at the VERY LEAST man up and tell us what is going on...

Ye not buying the 'affected bs' because browsing should be unaffected but we are being 'affected'. I'm under 8gig a day and have also affected. Mine seems better now, how are the rest of you?

Am having issues on my iPad with loading graphics such as facebook (not loading) and Zite where articles don't load. Rather annoying

Still finding business capped to be way slower than usual. Are there issues on the IS network?

I'm getting pretty bad speed on 40Mbps VDSL line with a capped account. Speedtest is around 3.85Mbps and max HTTP download speed is about 350KB/s.

Just connected with a Afrihost capped account, and I get about 36Mbps on speedtest and HTTP downloads around 3.2MB/s.

WebAfrica... its been like this for a few days now. What gives? I have a number of friends and family on WA who are getting the same speeds.

Definitely not just you - general speed has been pretty shoddy for the last few days, and I'm on business capped. Hoping WA's network is not taking strain due to all the new subscribers that jumped ship from Afrihost. Network status page still shows a nice green arrow..

I really hope that it has not because that would suck as someone that just came from them.

yesteday was bad today... I am lucky if international bursts to 0.50Mbps...

And no official response from WA? Their network status page is useless. They might as well drop the status page, since it doesn't really correlate to anything other than planned maintenance.

Been with WA since the 1st December 2014 and had a slight hiccup with speeds on Monday, but the rest of the time it has been working 100%.

I can watch 720p or 1080p Youtube vids with no buffering issues at all and everything seems peachy so far.
Unlike Afrihost where Youtube vids would buffer like mad at 360p or 480p and this is with the exact same line speed.

10Mb Home capped but syncing at 7Mb due to distance from exchange. Get a constant 5.5 to 6.4Mb on Speedtests, day or night.

Also quite perfect for me all this time on business capped, but only 4Mbps so hard to notice performance issues unless it gets really bad.

I was wondering about that. If there is contention, do the higher line speed customers get affected first, or is the speed reduced in proportional to your line speed?

Also, if the international link is crappy, does the same apply?

Some pages loading a bit slow, but not too bad; started a DL and going full speed

Much better than yesterday

I'd imagine so. If there's only so much bandwidth available and everyone gets throttled down to 8mbps max (just thumb sucking) - VDSL users would be complaining bitterly and 10mbps and below wouldn't know anything was wrong.

Either way it would be nice to get feedback from WA. It's not atrocious, but I've become accustomed to way better performance from WA than I've been getting the last few days.
