What is the issue with the long holding times at the WebAfrica call center?

I am using UnoTelly DNS and stream via my Roku. So I have the JHB and CT dns server from UniTelly as my primary and secondary dns servers.

I have the google DNS's blocked due to the issue with Netflix.

UPDATE: I ran some ping tests and it seem that the "Request timed out" I was getting intermittently his now a lot better. The average ping to www.bbc.co.za is about 190ms and I have only gotten 1 "request timed out" in 2 minutes of pinging. Last night it was probably once every 5 seconds.

try Ireland for primary
and Germany for 2nd

from my experience from uno telly, that works the best for me,

or Ireland and capetown

but dont use uno telly/and things anymore,so normal google dns does the job for me now

also what u can do is

run a ping test to each server out side south africa (mostly EU)
and use the one with the best ping for primary,

I was running at 1Mbps according to speed tests and nzb dl's for a couple hours this evening. Seems to be back to 4Mbps now.

Hey folks

I'm considering moving from Afrihost's business uncapped to WA's capped accounts. Can anyone comment on what streaming from uStream is like on these accounts?

Don't know about uStream, but Twitch, Netflix and YouTbe are all great on Web Africa.

I cant change my password and I'm getting authentication fail'd errors. The free account is working fine but not my 4mb business account.

Anything I can do? It sometimes connects and sometimes doesn't...

Ok from my convo with Afrihost and now telkom, it seems that some exchanges went down with the last batch of load shedding and haven't come back online as they are supposed to.
