WTF...

Have a 2 mbps line, and yet this...

based on WA's Line management thing, it's still syncing at 2 mbps. O.O

EDIT : did another speedtest just to make sure, and it's even worse...

EDIT 2 : strangely enough, just started an update on steam to check if it's also just as bad, still updating at full speed... (~200 KBps)

This is why I am leaving Web Africa.

Hi

Thank you for your response.

Please do see below feedback from our upstream provider;

" The acceptable latency for international addresses is 400ms – the below is within this range.

I see that in your trace the path through webafrica is 6 hops less than that of Afrihost, - with the shorter path taken, even though the latency might be higher the turnaround time is less.

I have checked the account, it is not limited on our end in anyway. "

Please advise.

Thanking you kindly.

Kind Regards,

What's your STAR rating. I'm still sitting on 1-star. Don't think I'll be getting out of that rating with sitting at over 200gb only after 10 days :(

Anyway, during the day my browsing is horrendous. Like unbrowsable bad. Surely browsing shouldn't be affected this much? On a 10mb uncapped line.

Hi Guys,

We have updated our status page with info around the slow speeds and latency issues. Things should have improved and will continue to do so throughout the week.

@wa

How is the new ASSIA system from telkom working out for you guys?

It has taken a lot of our rights away to manage our customers lines from our end and we have to contact Telkom to do line or speed upgrades which just makes everything that much longer. Only thing we can do now is reset your port which is not ideal.

And so we hit day 8, at least the latency is jumping between 250 - 500 ms to all local now, instead of just being a constant 600+ ms

I'm on a 3 star rating on my 2 mbps, but yeah, during the day browsing doesn't exist.

And now I have 1k+ ms to EU. :/

I'm starting to doubt that they actually care enough to fix their broken network. It's been more than a week now. The support team is nonexistent. I sent them a couple of tickets. Nothing came out of it.
