Web Africa service is going down the drain![]()
Im so frustrated, put our notice in to leave end of last month..and upgraded to a 10mg business account on recommendation I saw here in this thread to manage our devices and so we can at least use the internet..bought a new router so we can manage our usage and see where our bandwidth is going....seriously folks, R1300odd down the tubes, it has not changed our web africa experience, guys still continously get disconnected while gaming and i cant even load a page..actually had to call a bloody friend to get webafricas number....been trying to call them all afternoon only to be on hold for ages and then get cut off every time...live support we were told to log a ticket because they are "busy". Fluck this shyte. Worst experince ever.![]()
My Afrihost account is dead for NNTP in the south. Switched to WebAfrica and it's a bit better at 100 KBps but not near my 5 Mbps line speed.
What is going on?!
Impossible to stream, impossible to even browse imgur. IS problem ? WA problem ?
Our upstream provider is battling congestion issues. But our guys are in constant contact with them to resolve this matter. Sorry for the inconvenience and frustration this is causing you![]()
Your upstream provider is IS, right?
So how do you explain how last night we couldn't download anything on the WA 4MB Home Uncapped account, yet both OpenWeb and Axxess accounts ran full speed? They're also IS so either you're lying or you're misinformed.
With WebAfrica things never changed. Always making up excuses and always apologizing profusely for everything, meanwhile nothing ever changes. Couldn't get through to telephone support either. I guess you're going to apologize for that while not taking any steps to fix the issue, huh?
Likewise and Web Africa not responding to my ticket #2496989
Is the 10mb business account worth it for after hours downloading and streaming during peek periods
It's what I'm using a yes.
Webafrica Helper, how about getting the support staff to answer emails?
And trying to phone you lot for support is akin to phoning the SAPO "customer care" number......
