Web Africa ADSL general feedback

I have noticed there is no article on myadsl on slow or under performing international connectivity. If seacom goes down it is full of articles on mybb because it affects ISP's, but to me it looks like no other ISP is really as badly affected by this outage as WA. Can WA clarify this why they seem to be the major one being affected? All eggs in one basket ?
 
With WA today international web pages hang while loading. This site is fine.

I guess everyone is trying to use up their cap on the last day of the month.

This is getting very irritating. Have not been able to use my account at all for two days. I still have about 10 gigs left (which I planned to use these past two days) and I am stuck using my free 1gig Afrihost account just to get online. I suppose I should just resign myself to "losing" the 10 gigs.

wish I had a free afrihost account. I had to buy a prepaid account today :mad:
 
mmm...Just heard from a friend that 3G works without problems?
( i stiil have 2 gigs left till 12 o'clock...no use ) :(
 
FFS now I am annoyed. This has been going on far to long. :mad:

Please sort this out!

I have spoken to support and each time there seems to be something else wrong. I do understand 100% is impossible with any ISP, but WA seems to be having way too many issues of late and I have found my connectivity has not been as good as in the past :(

I am now using my Afrihost account and hopefully sooner rather than later things will be back to 100% with WA

I have exactly the same experience. I have been with WA for longer that 5 years, but I've now had it. The service seems to really to be getting worse daily.

Noticed the same thing. When I experience bad response, I usually look on MyBB first as cable problems etc. is usually also listed there. Why don't any of the other ISP's got any problems?
 
Just got home and international is off and on. I still have faith in WA to resolve this in a timely manner.
 
Downloads roaring up to 20 KBs when lucky - this on a 6 meg line.

No streaming radio :( -

No comment / update from WA for a while.

Not a happy camper

Tried to dl a file and got 1.5 kb/2 on a 4mb line. Not happy either! A few hours I can understand but this is what the 2nd day now?
 
I can't get more than 5kB/s on my WA account and this is after hours (when things usually speed up). Most intl sites are dead, I just get "connecting" and then it times out. Most don't load at all. Can't login to chat applications either, just times out. A few local sites load, woohoo!

Now I'm back on my prepaid Afrihost account, no choice. Buying up Gb's as I go along but at least everything works. This is going to be a costly exercise if WA plays dead for another week.
 
ummmm strange my download speed and surfing is fine, wow how ever is totaly unplayable on WA getting around 1000ms but then they did say theres a cable break so i guess its to be expected especialy if they are routing us through that crap seacom cable

OK so Webafrica, what are you gong to give us if we still stick with you after this horrible service ?

WAMATT and RPM are big buddies, you never find rpm doing an article when Webafrica is not up to standard, but headline articles when they come out with crappy deals
