Web Africa ADSL general feedback

One of WA's support people admitted to me they had some issue upstream. Naturally no answers on when. Or why their homepage shows green flags all the way.
 
Where in SA are you located. Seems to be working for a user in Bloem!!

uploaded.net not opening for me since Friday.

It opens on my Axxess and Vodacom accounts but not WA capped or afrihost mobile.
I called WA and they asked for a tracert and ping which I sent them but as yet no action on their part.

Cameraegg opens for me
I am also in East London
 
I am near Cape Town.

Uploaded and Cameraegg still down for me. Had one support ticket reply stating "... a number of other Web Africa users are experiencing the same problem." and a second reply telling my I am mad the technician could connect. This can only be an ISP problem if geographically affecting users, no?

I sent them a string of questions, none of which were addressed in any way.

Not amused.

Update: Cameraegg just loaded for me (after trying daily since Friday), still no Uploaded (and of course it coincides with me needing to access files I store there!)

Just in case it is a router problem, are any of you who are unable to connect using Tomato or Gargoyle?

WA support in Cape Town just told me they can connect to Uploaded.net, so it may not be a localised issue in the Cape!!

They can tell you anything they like over the phone.

I got a mail back saying there is no fault on their side and that they can access the site. Strange that the tech would tell me (and my call is recorded on my phone) that he couldn't access it when I called in.
I can connect via proxy
 
Are you by any chance using Tomato or Gargoyle on your router?

I can connect using the SA VPN address for Smart DNS Proxy, so at least the download speeds are not as bad as the overseas proxies. Manage to get 1.26MB/s on a TV show download (20meg line)

I tried incloak vpn free for 24hrs on an Amsterdam address. Came down at just over 2MB.
Then I bought 3gigs from axxess to test and it works there. Does axxess have a midnight to 6 deal?
 
Unfortunately not. As far as I know only WA offers it.

WA Jhb, I can also not access the site.
Going over the office VPN the site works fine, so its definitely a WA problem.
