Web Africa ADSL general feedback

Had lots of disconnects late Sunday afternoon playing BC2, had to give up. Was fine for hours before.

Sincere apologies for this, we are doing our utmost to resolve the issue, and will definitely be investigating ways to mitigate potential outages like this in future. Top notch service for our customers is very important to us!
 
Saw the outage announcement last night so did not bother to open another ticket. From 19:00-20:00 the latency and also upload/download were extremely slow, but around 20:30 all started working fine. Only at around 23:00 did I experience some massive spikes again. At least had an evening of rather good gaming, hope the problem can be resolved fully.
 
I had the same issue (high latency spikes and packet loss) over the last couple of weeks and this past weekend on my WA account while playing Dungeons and Dragons Online. I switched to axxess account and although the latency was higher it was steady.

Just to keep everyone up to date, and what we're doing to sort the issue out.
The Google Caching server needed to be re-built, which unfortunately took some time. After this, it was discovered that one of our upstream providers has been experienced on the backhaul to London so any form of high traffic would have slowed things down substantially.

This will hopefully be resolved as soon as possible. I'll have feedback up as soon as it's made available to me.
 
I was online until 1am this morning. There were some minor latency fluxuations but not as extensive as the weekend.

Browsing capabilities was fine during the whole evening for me.

Looking at the bright side of this... since the weekend and all it's adversities... my fishing is raised by 300 skill points. :p
 
hehe yea with the lag spikes this weekend gathering skills are going well :P. Was online this morning for about 10-15min and everything seems to be okay, will have to see when I get home tonight.

Very bad lag but i can atleast log into sc2.

No problems on my telkom account (I am almost out of bandwidth on my telkom account :( )

This morning during DL+ times, I download about 8.5 gigs in just over 5 hours (4 meg line), so seemed to be working at full capacity. On the whole, this side of things generally works very well for me during DL+ times
