Web Africa ADSL general feedback

Anyone tested the latencies in World of Warcraft yet ? We are only raiding tonight so I am really hoping the problems are resolved...

Played some WOW and the latency jumps like before between 280-2000 in a few sec, feels like data package loss again. I would say the problem has not been resolved yet.

yea latency is all over the place starts at around 220ms and 5min later its at 5k ms then back down to 220ms

If you guys are still having issues can you please provide us a tracert to the servers/ sites that you're still experiencing issues with. I'll have these FW'ed onto the Engineers ASAP.

Every thing almost works fine for me. Just every minut or two every npc and other player freezes for about 5 - 10 seconds then they do all the movements they did in that 10 seconds in 2 seconds and that's been happening for
About 2 weeks now.

This is to the sc2 battlenet server
you will notice two timeouts right at the start

Just some feedback from last night's experiences. the latency was frequently moving from 230ms up to 2800ms throughout the evening.

I'll do some TR's this evening if I encounter the same issues.

Nope... still busted my side... latency looks lower, but the way the data comes in feel sluggish and still comes in via bursts.
Mweb account however, although the latency is higher, it feels playable and smooth.

Latency is solid in WoW here for me, playing from Durbanville North, with 2 players, 1 using proxy 1 without and both are fine.

Ok cool... raids done... switched to Unshaped account and the latency is looking pretty decent... 252 ms with no proxy (granted its late and lot less traffic on the lines / server at this time)

Game play feels sluggish in the sense that you use your keys / abilities, and you can feel its just not going through properly. Then you get a massive burst of data, and it feels ok for a few sec's.
Tried several ISP accounts + shaped / unshaped accounts, its just the WA account just not grafting... usually its the best of the lot when it comes to WoW... but this all started the weekend...

Edit - One thing I have noticed, is usually my home + world latencies are pretty close to each other normally, but since the weekend, there is quite a gap between the world latency and the home latency.
With absolutely nothing happening, its now at this quiet time, its 182 ms home and 280 ms world... put some raid sync data into the mix and the world value starts getting worse.

To eliminate any line noise issues :

Line attenuation Downstream : 6.5db Upstream : 4.5db
Noise Margine : Downstream - 21.9 Upstream : 12.0 db

Had no lag with sc2 last night, never tried wow though

Had the same problem, but at at 22:00 everything seemed to go okay. Before my home would be 300 and world would jump to 600-800ms.

One of my colleagues at work here said the same thing... earlier the night he had same issues, and switched to another ISP account, and around 10 PM he tested again, and everything was rock solid later on. Will try again tonight as well...

My buddy, same house as me, who plays without a proxy, had 190ms the whole of last night, playing Horde on TH. I know this because I regularly visited his room to see their progress on Shannox HC.

Some lag spikes from 19:00-20:30, when I decided to give up and go to sleep. Good if it was resolved later on!

Still getting massive lag spikes again tonight time 18:26

Ok well I cant comment on raiding yet... but so far I am logged in with a shaped WA account (no proxy), and did 'n quick random BG match... Latency is jumping a bit around (anything from 190 ms to 280ms), but none of the data burst lag spikes are noticeable that we had this whole week. So rotations feel kinda smooth and playable. Touch wood, will wait till raid time and see what its like.

Edit - latency has settled down now... seems to be working fine... really hoping its sorted tonight. Feels like the gool old WA latencies / performance I am use to.
