For me it is by no means sorted, and I have logged a fault. I was told no problems, and gave follow up that there are still issues

As an example, this morning over half of my DL during DL+ time happened via astraweb, even though the files are not even 36 hours old. In addition I was operating on 60% line speed.

There was a short window when it was working awesomely a week or two ago

Exactly same problem here on 1Mb account. Using WA news server + international during DL+ never get more then 65% of line speed. With most coming down from international. Unfortunately throttled now but will check news server again later to see if I can get full speeds later.

We dont want to as take days to weeks to get back to US.

my last issue took 7 days to resolve....

Fair call, but then that's where I come in.
It's always easiest to log a support ticket with all the details - it gives both our Engineers and me something to refer to instead of starting with something from scratch.

Drop me a PM with your client code and I'll have your news server issues looked into.

There's something strange going on tonight, I'm randomly getting dc'd from Star Wars the whole time, also the line drops a couple packets when this happens.

This started happening to me right after a thunderstorm down here in durban. been holding with telkom for nearly an hour to just get a port reset.

My line is fine again.

We also had a bit of rain up here but nothing serious.

What I can not understand is that you have recently upgraded your news server if I am correct

9 gig DL during DL+ times this morning. 8,6 gigs via Astraweb and a whopping 400 megs via WA. These files were less than 24 hours old.

Something is seriously wrong WA - when is it going to be sorted?

Yesterday the WA news server worked perfectly during DL+ hours. This morning I DL over 6 gigs - all files that were less than a day old. 5 gigs DL via astraweb and 1 gig via the WA news server. First two hours worked at full speeds; nothing DL from 3 to 4, and then the DL finished slowly over the next 1 1/2 hours.

So the WA news server still appears to be having issues :(

Jeff please can you update us or are you still waiting on feedback from the engineers? Thanks

Me again :)

Anyone finding general browsing very mixed. Just now I had to wait ages to load another thread; now it was quite quick. Seems to be up and down, but am worried as things seem to be a bit slower and slower. This is not a scientific fact, but just my observations.

Today I can stream again around 20:00-21:30. Haven't been able to do that for 10 days or so.

WA news server update.

This morning in DL+ time I DL'ed 10.9 gigs via Astraweb and a massive 2 megs via WA news server. One file a few days old and the other a few weeks. Astraweb is my back up server :(

WA Jeff again I ask what is going on? For a service that was recently upgraded, the above figures are not a pretty picture

What is so big that you are downloading through news servers? Screenshots of downloads and speeds?

Aerial America - Colorado 1080i, 5,6gig. All of these in this series are over 5 gigs each as I can only get them in 1080i

Not sure of the relevance of your question as to WA news servers. Are you saying because it is a big file, there would be a problem. Surely I should be able to choose what files I want to DL, regardless of size and the news server should work. Am I missing something that news servers are only supposed to be for smaller files? What if I want to DL a HD movie - they can run up to 30 + gigs if I am not mistaken

I will happily provide the info you want if 1. it is going to help solve the problem and 2 you guide me through the process as I am not technically minded at all. Oh and this happens when I am asleep :)

Wonder if WA can go a week without network problems... I say fire the lot of them

So sick and tired of hearing contact support, contact support... Fix your damn network already!

I can stream again during 8-10 PM. Haven't been able to do that for two weeks. Seems to have fixed itself last night.

GG WebAfrica, it's 5am and pages won't even load never mind streaming media. Isn't this the least busiest time of day for your network???

Axxess LITE account is working fine at 1MB/s
