Most smart people will plan for this on their own.
Which is why WA should offer a SEACOM option (without guarantees). For those people who can and do plan themselves. Businesses are in a different boat and can't go down.

Here is a look at our per gb rates across all plans excluding standard line cost pricing:
Plan 1:R17 per gb
Plan 2: R32 per gb
Plan 3: R39 per gb
Plan 4: R31 per gb
Plan 5: R32 per gb
Plan 6: R37 per gb

People are upset because WA asked them to hold on until Feb, which they did. Now they realise that they haven't been awarded for their loyalty.I'm not too sure why there's so much anger here. If you don't like the prices, don't use their services.
@ rsd, whether you are with Telkom or Web Africa you will be charged R152 for your adsl line at the moment. Web Africa could be your line provider and your data could be with Afrihost for example.
Nobody is tied into anything, no contracts, transferring a line is only a support ticket away.
Yes from that point of view it is a good thing. Not everyone wants 2 or 3 ISP's though. Having to log in to each account. Monitoring them on all the different PC's etc... If you can offer such great Complete packages then why do your Data packages fall so short?@ rsd, whether you are with Telkom or Web Africa you will be charged R152 for your adsl line at the moment. I think you are failing to see what people want..they are not interested in the bundles..people are interested in the per GIG offering and your price is rather sad...thats it...
Thanks WA!!
Contrary to all the complaints above, I welcome your 29% price drop on my unshaped account.
No he's choosing not to address the issue - commonly known as a decoy / change of topic

The problem is that WA basically made it's name on this forum in 2005, and now they've done a u-turn and gone after the Mweb market. Some might feel insulted that they're not being taken seriously anymore after supporting them for all this time.At the risk of playing devil's advocate, there are two distinct groups of ADSL users. People who frequent MyBB are a lot more likely to be power users and yes, they're only interested in the price per gig. I don't think WA are failing to see what people want at all, they're just not, currently, offering what you want. The majority of ADSL users want a 1 price solution to compare to the 1 price solution of Telkom / MWeb.
I do think if WA had to do a staggered launch they've done it the wrong way round. I think dropping prepaid prices first would have been the better route to take.
