Web / App Development "Free" Courses or Tutorials

So as per title I am wanting to get into Web and or App development and before I pay for courses I am wanting to know if there are any good free "beginner" or introductory courses or tutorials online to see if it is something I will enjoy in the long run.

I have looked online and YouTube and there are a few but wanting to know if there are any sites or channels that come recommended.

So please if you have any or can point in right direction will be greatly appreciated.

Udemy also has quite a few good courses and they constantly have 'sales' at R100 to R300 (don't pay the full prices, wait a few weeks and it will be available on sale) so reasonably priced.

You could also follow a career path within a specific language.

I've done some work on this. It's for Ruby development.

You should be able to to find something similar elsewhere. Whether you want to learn python or another language. Look for a career based course like OdinProject.

Also, there's Codecademy and Enki and Mimo on Android.
