Nevermind, I see it's been restored. Could you shed any more light on what exactly was done? Just curious, not a big deal if it's not something you can't share.

@websquadza The changes have actually caused a regression not an improvement. Latency has gone up to 164 from 162, I am lucky if i get 200Mbps on a 1Gps line to London, used to get between 400-500Mbps

@websquadza Over the past couple weeks i have been having my net drop every now and then I couldnt pin point it though as things like my work resources and voip phone would drop but by the time I got MTR up it was back, caught it now while doing some MTRs for your support desk -

@websquadza off the cuff, this a pretty similar pattern to what you and I were looking at on my side a while back. i still need to actually find the time to do some standardised tests, but on the face of it, it looks the same

Changes still not complete. In WACS style, started late and still not 100%. -we've updated our network status page accordingly. Will update when complete.

Still some work ongoing from what I hear. Emergency hardware maintenance is what we've been told. Not 100% sure though as we're picking up this through upstream providers.

Destination IP you're tracing to please? Also, region and FNO? Just want to run some traces

International Transit Update: We're received confirmation that WACS is back up and running smoothly. Changes are complete and the change window has been closed.

Thanks all for your patience.

The speed to london while improved is still not what I am expecting in relation to what I signed up for.

If I run the same test using my cellphone I am getting

96.4 down and 25.3 up.

That is using afrihost lte

This used to be a lot better?

Also not the ~300mbps I used to see. Upload can't quite get where it should be either atm. Otherwise performance is mostly normal.

Not what I signed up for at all. While support is brilliant, I am very unhappy with the speeds considering how much I am paying per month. @Websquad, unfortunately I am going to have to make a tough decision unless this is fixed.

It is not a trace, it is a speedtest. Your own london speed test and the normal ookla one

An update on the above. Transit seems to be performing better than it has the past few days (streams seem smoother and latency sensitive applications seem better from our side); so there definitely was an issue on that WACS upstream port. That said, speeds aren't 100% where we'd like them to be and we have asked our upstreams to investigate. Tweaking MSS settings on our testbed yielded a range of results - so I believe some further tweaks on the upstream side will help. We will follow up with their engineers over the next day or so and continue to tweak our end.

@websquadza when is your TCP Accelerator going to be active. I’v been waiting for a long time now and you have been promising that it’s imminent.
