Is there something weird happening on the network in terms of shaping? Usenet is capped to <2MB/s until around 2200, then getting full speed after that. Only noticed it in the last few days while migrating stuff, it's been fine for the last few months :/

Also tested different usenet servers just in the event eweka was capping, getting the exact same speeds regardless of backbone.

Edit: Yeah I'm not imagining it, at exactly 2200 speeds are back up (still slow but a lot faster than the 1.4MB/s I've been getting)

Edit 2: Even benchmarked the HDD I'm using to download NZBs too in the event it was a drive speed issue and the drive was dying :(

Definitely nothing shaping from our end. We don’t have any mechanisms for shaping. NZB traffic is purely HTTPS traffic. So any shaping our side would affect all https traffic. Have you checked source? What’s the source IP? I can check how we reach them too.

I'll keep an eye out today but it starts late afternoon, around 1600/1700 if I had to guess. It's "fine" right now at around 14MB/s

Speeds straight up halved at 1600. Went from 20MB/s constant to <10MB/s (around 8MB/s constant)

I have this nagging feeling its this stupid unifi gateway acting up yet again for some reason...

@DarkSt0rm seems I'm hitting my average speed of around 50MB/s, which I'd say is about expected for me.

Yeah, like now speeds are fine

It's really weird, dunno how to even try and figure out the speed changes. Can even get a full 100MB/s if I download onto SSD instead of HDD late at night

Those times are not random. Its precisely on the hour. Anything that can accelerate can also decelerate.

@websquadza my v4 just died? Running dualstack and anything running over v6 is fine:

This is the response from whatismyipaddress.com:

Something is seriously wrong, I am struggling to load Youtube videos all day, buffering and struggling to load which shows maybe a problem with Google services

I have the opposite problem, my IPv4 is detecting but IPv6 is showing as not detected even though it is enabled in my router settings?

Have you tried bypassing the Unifi again to see if this helps? Those times are odd - will try see how we're receiving that traffic and if anything could be affecting it there.

Still DDOS upstream protection being triggered in this regard. However, this is more on off than time/speed. Alternate transit route didn't help much due to added latency (via paris). But we are working on a solution to put this to good use.

No known issues. As always, have you checked for obvious packet loss / last mile? AEX issues aren't uncommon of late - so always check for packet loss. Beside's Google's issues of the past few weeks (which are mostly resolved now), it's more likely to be a line issue than peering/internet.

I thought you'd disabled this? If you re-enabled it, Tenda AC8 needs a reboot every now and again to keep v6 working well. We've engaged Tenda about this, but little feedback.
