Wow.. And here is my pathetic new York speed. No wonder I suffer with buffering all the time. Would love to kkow how you setup for such incredible speeds. Even to jhb from Durban I can't really get over 300Mbps on a 1 gig line.

The likeness of you streaming from New York is slim to zero. Contact support to diagnose that, on the other hand I use Cloudflare to fling traffic across their Argo network.

Any chance we can run these tests from a PC on the LAN using the speedtest app? The asymmetry in those results is odd. We're still dealing with the Vuma Packet loss in the area (lots of back and forth with their NOC). However, uploads are usually affected worse by PL, so would be good to get some metrics to see if they've made any progress.

Is this Vuma packet loss issue more ubiquitous than certain suburbs in CPT? It definitely seems PoP specific imo. Wonder how they manage to deploy such an inconsistent network. Almost like each area uses different hardware/different config

Yea sure we can do that. I have a second laptop available again, for more testing if Yolande wants to hook again and run more testing.

@websquadza - any idea when frogfoot might go live with you guys? We are getting the trenching in complex now and would very much like to get one of your packages.

Also had a few blips last night but wasn't too phased (same area/fno). Thought it was my local wifi as a restart sorted it out. Went to bed shortly afterwards so can't comment on later experience.

Was mildly aggravating trying to complete some dailies before Load shedding and getting dropped repeatedly :P

My internet is completely dead, Evotel North Riding. Is there an issue? Tried router restart

Could you please explain a little more?
Thanks for the update

So far we have little more information. We have contacted both Vumatel and Evotel NOCs, as well as AEX (the company that provides backhaul for both these FTTH networks, amongst others). All the NOCs are currently investigating and being baraged by calls from angry ISPs. ETR to follow soon.
