@Looney

Apologies for the delay here. Server patch successfully implemented. Apologies, PPPOE authentication was all over the place during this process. All PPPOE services restored. If you're not able to connect after a reboot of your router, please submit a ticket.

Yip I’m authenticated and back up on my side.

Thanks, I managed to connect a short while ago.

@websquadza, looks like there are still issues. My PPPOE session keeps dropping and re-connecting. I have updated my ticket (#834016)stating this.

This isn't the same auth server issue. Seeing your session drop for a while, then try reconnect. Could be a line issue. Will ask the team to check.

I have been getting intermittent Loss when playing CSGO the last couple of nights in the Cape Town Northern Suburbs area. Any known issues?

No issues that we know of. Can you isolate the IP you're connecting to for us to test?

Not exactly sure how to get the IP's but I think the South African Matchmaking servers are on the following ranges:
197.80.4.37, 196.38.180.0-196.38.180.255, 197.80.200.0-197.80.200.255;

Seeing it too. Seems to be in Amsterdam bound routes - between England and Amsterdam. We’ve escalated to our upstreams- will try move routes around in the meanwhile.

We've dropped advertisements and routes learnt to and from AMSIX and DECIX for now. Seeing an improvement already - not 100% just yet, but better. Still working with transit providers to resolve.

All these servers/ranges are on Optinet's (MWEB/IS) network. Been running MTRs to pingable IPs in these ranges through the night from CPT and JHB - all these servers are in JHB, most point to IPs in IS Victory Park and 0% loss to this DC, or any tested IPs (in these ranges) for that matter. I've been sent actual gameserver IPs - but these don't have ICMP enabled, so we get no results there, but it's safe to assume that 0% loss to the DC and other pingable IPS in the DC on the same range mean that the losses are on the servers themselves. There have been complaints about this for weeks now and everything seems to point to overloaded servers locally (which means the local scene is finally growing). If anything, pressure on the gameserver hosts is necessary to resolve this.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it that you take the time to look into this and respond. I am happy that it is not something on your end :)
