And there I was thinking that all this maintenance is to resolve these cross patches and build issues. Our support desk escalated this to Vumatel this morning. Will ask them to follow up.

They pulled new fibre all the way down the street and respliced (clearly not in order),so I assume there's a stack of these issues currently today

Not sure what's changed since the upstream maintenance, but I can't even achieve 30MB/sec on NNTP at the moment no matter how many concurrent threads I throw at it.

Looks like a flap on the NLD routes between CPT and JHB - weirdly route didn't go down entirely or trigger a failover - we're investigating further.

That's resolved, yeah. My international speeds are still fluctuating between 10-20MB/sec now though. Can't go higher than 140mbps on international speed test.

We've escalated to upstreams. As mentioned in a previous post, we've ordered alternative capacity and (hopefully) improved reliability, but this will take a few weeks. In the meanwhile, we're pushing on this - it's likely a TCP issue and slightly harder to diagnose.
