Evenings @websquadza , i'm trying to create a ticket, but it keeps looping to "find a answer" back to the open a ticket page, without a ticket being opened

@websquadza

International just dropped out?

Looks like one of our upstream vendors went down without withdrawing prefixes - so takes a little longer for our network to pick up the loss (basically session needs to time out and then reconverge). But we’re failed over to alternate paths and running again. Slightly higher latencies to EU. Waiting for more feedback.

@websquadza any luck trying Apex?

Apex seems to only run on windows and console. And I don’t have either. While I make a plan, you can check this yourself on your MikroTik. Torch the LAN interface you connect to while in game and you’ll see all the IPs you’re connecting to. From there, it’s just a process of elimination

You don't play games? The horror! :)

Will give that a try and report back.

I have been tracking my server connections for a while now since i last replied to your comment. During the evenings i am generally being assigned to New York and St Louisiana servers, this is for PUBS where it seems the better servers are being kept for ranked. I played 3 hours of ranked yesterday and only had 1 server over 190ms+ (i am CT based). After that a friend joined and we played 3 pubs server pings were 260ms, 230ms and 210ms all three when i pulled IP's were AWS based in USA.

I recently started grinding ranked again after skipping it for a few seasons, and noticed the same thing. Not like it used to be, but servers were definitely better. Back to Pubs, and garbage again.

I cannot though for the life of me understand why they would re-route to an entirely different region though, unless they are having player count issues in the US and are shunting people over to fill spots and keep up appearances.

I'm actually curious now to try and connect via a VPN to London and see which servers I end up on. They might have decided to shunt Africa to the USA to fill spots.

I don't think it's just us, going on the Apex forums a lot of people are complaining. An observation i noticed while watching Shiv is he lives in the UK and plays on London servers, when he is playing Pubs he gets around 70 to 80 (ranked is around 20-30) ping some games and London to London should be max i would say 20ms, but UK to parts of US is around 100 to 110ms i know someone who gets high 90's to US from EU, so i believe Pub servers are being allocated to EU or NA where ranked it's closest to the region you chose.

A lot of my games i was getting 170ms last night which is Belgium since i get 142 to London, 150 to Amsterdam and 158 to Frankfurt where Belgium is 170 to 180. If you look they have a lot of data centres out as well so i think they just trying to assign you a game as fast as possible in pubs and you land up in EU for ranked.

Seems they trying to protect the ranked experience.

With openserve's price drops next month I'm considering dumping vumatel.

@websquadza have you guys defined your new commercials yet?

Additionally, if I were to cancel vuma and apply for openserve (all with you) what installation costs would there be?

I got the feeling that there wouldnt really be any savings because while line rental "drops", the IPC costs go up.
So net effect is possibly zero.
But not sure of it.

Right, so took a few IPs down. This was in pubs and I didn't get shunted to US, so this was all EU. Running MTRs to them directly, the pings are actually in line with what I'd expect to EU and far lower than in-game, so it seems the servers are actually, indeed, just trash, and this is Respawn/EA and nothing to do with WS.

Some server IPs below for reference with out of game pings:

88.202.177.10 (168ms)
78.129.240.245 (144ms)
46.23.78.169 (187ms)
188.42.46.26 (161ms)
88.150.206.136 (144ms)
35.205.144.222 (182ms)
