Yaaas rather broken here to. Vumatel trenched dbn as well.

Looking to see what we can find here. Logs show a drop in traffic over our AEX interface between 21:00 and 21:10 and again between 21:11 and 21:20. Looks like traffic volumes are back to normal. Investigating further

I see routing's been fixed and latencies are back to normal. Had some packet loss in Apex yesterday evening, but not sure if that was a blip or the Apex servers which have been spotty lately. Will keep an eye on it but thanks for getting everything sorted.

If it was around 8 to 9pm Amazon transit has been pretty bad had really poor performance the last two nights between those hours on the Frabkfurt server which it seems to be defaulting me to...

yeah same, being smashed in mythics :/

Evening, apologies for the delay. Just checking this now. Path of Exile is AWS if I remember correctly? We saw some issues with AWS earlier this afternoon which cleared around 3pm (we dropped advertisements to them between 2 and 3). Seems something went wrong there again though. Checking to see if it’s stabilised. Can you confirm if other services were affected?

Hi @websquadza

I trust you received my pm and are attending to the matter.

Thanks.

Free fibre speed upgrades and price cuts from Openserve

Vuma ?
price wars ?
I keep reading about these Fibre price wars and everyone is getting these great line speed upgrades or reduced monthly prices from Openserve, Frogfoot, Herotel etc BUT what the hell about Vumatel? Our complex is stuck in a contract with them for another year and I've seen ZERO budging on their super high prices. Any comments from Vumatel???

My connection / signal is acting up.. the service desk has already tried assisting, but said i need to setup a mesh system for where i need signal, but, the same place on the same devices and same router i previously had no issues..
I was getting 98mbps up and down any day, all day.. now i get:

As i stated, i previously tested in the office and i got around 95-98mbps all the time. I monitored usage, only the 1 device was active on the wifi.
I checked with neighbours for possibility of new interferences from their side, and nobody changed their setups either.

I am on 100/100 offering with the Tenda router provided by WebSquad.

The thing with WiFi is any number of factors can cause it to degrade - which is why we recommend investing in a rightsized WiFi solution for your home - especially if its for work from home and your ability to work depends on reliable wifi. This isn't a connection issue, I've checked your ticket and your line is fine. It's a wifi signal issue.

Judging by your above results, and a quick chat to the tech who assisted you, your office is (some) walls and distance (+-15m) from your router. 5 Ghz would never make it this far reliably (even using enterprise APs we use, 5 Ghz drops off quickly), so you were likely connecting via 2.4 Ghz in your office all along. I don't have a historical wifi analysis of your premises; but it could take something as simple as a neighbour installing an extender/ap in their home, or a CCTV installer setting up a wireless link for cameras in the area, to use up the last remaining channel(s) which you may have been using. 2.4 Ghz has 3 real channels (if you don't count the pointless overlapping ones). Your 2.4Ghz same room test confirms interference (test 4) - not a router/hardware fault. This is why dual band routers with 5Ghz band were developed. Less interference, faster speeds. Problem with 5 Ghz is it will not make it 15m and through brick walls. Tech Flow has some pretty good videos to explain this better (eg.
if you can get over the guy's voice)

A cheaper recommendation than the mesh is to get run a LAN cable and get a second AC8 set up in AP mode, in your office. There are also some great threads on this forum for ideas on how to improve your WiFi in your home.

I wish we had some feedback here. But we're getting nothing as ISPs. And the question is being asked by management. We're hoping continued market pressure will finally right the course here.
