Just had my internet disconnect 2 times now in the last 30min or so
Still waiting for an update on FNO and area - but as far as I remember, you were Openserve in PTA/centurion. definitely not related to the Vuma West Rand issue; if it persists, please open a ticket with support so they can get Openserve to check your line.

Yea i got video-edge-c68434.cdg02.justin.tv (52.223.195.11) but a trace to it doesn't show much other than traffic being handed off in UK. I have tested multiple streams, small and big and they all pointing towards similar IP's.
Thanks for this, will check this IP out.

@websquadza I'm seeing buttcheek latency to any regions other than locally (Cape Town). Vumatel Trenched CPT.

Please share these so we can escalate.

The packet loss has been an ongoing issue in the West Rand for months now. Comes and goes. We have tickets with Vuma, AEX and both together - we've seen packet loss that looks like congestion at times, path failover, MTU issues, packet fragmentation and more. We will continue working on these issues with them, and need this kind of feedback to ensure we can show them that the issues persist.

After reboot:

I've been noticing this over the last 3 months as well. It comes and goes, twitch, specifically has been really bad for me. The packet loss doesn't coincide with the twitch issues though.

I'm fairly sure it's a vumatel problem, as I game online and watch twitch (both fairly sensitive to latency and packet loss) and notice it immediately. Very very frustrating.
Yes, I think it also may be. I am in Weltervreden Park, Panorama side and interestingly am on vuma trenched, while you are on ariel. Maybe it is something to do with something that they both have in common. I also game, that is why I notice it, it has also been interfering with my music streaming

Having major problems downloading Telegram attachments on my PC or mobile when on Fibre but perfectly fine on mobile data. Evotel, North Riding. Things have been very rough in general over the past few weeks.....

Have you got IPv6 enabled or disabled?

If you can try grab a MTR and send on a ticket. Vuma trenched is completely separate from aerial. Nothing visible on the network that should cause these issues. @Senshi’s issue was an actual drop his pppoe which signifies a complete loss of comms on his last mile or backhaul.

It has been behaving today, so far. It is the first day in ages since it has been ok. If it comes back, I'll send in a ticket and log times, sometimes it is too short to run a ping. Thank you for your feedback

Thanks for the update. Let us know. Our office (down the road from you) has a Vuma line off the same master node as Weltervreden - and we monitor the vuma trenched network from there. Haven't picked up anything untoward in the past few weeks.
