My PPPoE connection also dropped at 08:53. There is no response to PADO packets from the access concentrator

My connection came up again at 09:21. No repsonse to the ticket I logged though
The team is working through tickets. Seems all Vuma GPON in JHB was affected- so an influx of tickets. Nothing from Vuma NOC yet, but looks quite widespread

So this would have affected not just Websquad clients? I checked the Cool Ideas and Afrihost threads and do not see any similar complaints there...
 
@websquadza why was my ticket 671188 merged with ticket 670804? The issues are unrelated?! The response I just typed for 671188 is now gone?

I can't speak for other ISPS, but Vumatel provide a L2 Vlan for each region and traffic died across the board- even for remote regions connecting to JHB- So it seems someone was tinkering with S-Tag configs (all area VLANs(c-tags) are within a single larger s-tag. These sessions terminate on our BNG, that host other FNOs, and as you can see above, only Vuma aerial/GPON clients were affected by this drop. Once we have feedback from Vuma's NOC, we will share. Services are back up, so feedback is slower to get. We're always transparent about issues, I'm sure you've seen in the past two weeks and will continue to share information.

This is now the second time that your support desk have bungled a response to a ticket that I logged in recent days. I would be willing to forgive a technical issue that is beyond your control, but this is unacceptable.

I have already enquired how to go about cancelling my line.
