Likely your local pop is dying under stage 6 load shedding. Not an excuse, but remember FNOs are more reactive than proactive in these situations. I see you logged a fault, so our team logged with vuma. Vuma are generally good at auctioning repairs and upgrades at the pops- just remember there is a chance it can take a few days to resolve. My fibre dropped again this afternoon, after about 1hour.
My equipment is up and working (as my backup power will run it for 4hours without issues, solid) but the fibre connection drops from somewhere else.

thanks , solong as they are made aware and they busy working on the issue. Battery and power issues is not going to go away anytime soon i think. best to have proper backup or generator to kick in to feed ups. but they will make a plan i guess.Likely your local pop is dying under stage 6 load shedding. Morning. Welcome to MyBroadband! We're not seeing any network notices for your area, which means this is likely more isolated to you. I see your ticket from this morning is being handled by the team; I'll make sure they follow up with FF here.Good morning Websquad Rep
Is there a frogfoot/websquad problem in the Brentwood/Benoni/Pomona area? Our internet is down since yesterday around 16:00 and has not been back up yet. We spoke to Tiaan at Websquad this morning he said everything looks fine from websquad side. Please can you have a squiz and see if you can find something?
No NWIs reported on Vumatel recently. Usually takes a few for them to pick up on area outages. If FX light is down, you can go ahead and log a ticket.
What kind of issues? Apologies for the late follow up here?@websquadza Morning, any issues out Pretoria East, Waterkloof Heights Openserve?
We haven't been made aware of any issues by Openserve, could you please log this?Been having random drops 4-5minutes at a time on openserve random times of day the last few days, randburg area. Not sure if part of a bigger issue

edit: nothing scheduled on my side. literal line drop.
Same again, tonight. 23h20. Driving me crazy wondering what's up.I see there was a scheduled core switch replacement in Greenside Pop earlier this week which I think you run from. Not sure if it's related or an ongoing issue- will see what the status is there.

We have asked for SDM assistance here. We're almost 100% sure it's the -27 odd dbm on your line- likely causing retransmits. This was previously considered too high for vuma, (Openserve's limit is around -26). But they've recently decided low is -30+ dbm, so your ticket keeps getting closed. The back and forth on these more "complex" tickets takes some time unfortunately- but we are following up and following the correct process in getting this sorted. Thanks for your patience@websquadza
I logged the ticket with support - speeds are getting WORSE.
Will soon be 2 weeks since logging! Ticket #639831
