WebAfrica Capped ADSL

Ja mine is also broken.

But my line is also stuffed... and I assume that is more likely Telkom's fault.

EDIT: Nope it's not Telkom... see below.

There is still something wrong with my connection and with the DSL console.
The DSL console shows no movement since 3 days ago.
And my connection is dog slow.
When I switch back to my Afrihost backup account then all is normal on my 10 mbps ADSL line.

My internet is also k@k slow 40Mbps line can barely stream 480p

Switch to afrihost 4k like a bomb

WebAfrica Helper also not responding to PMs

I got reply...

Hi Gary,

Thank you for your mail,

I'm terribly sorry about the issue you are receiving with the DSL console, it is broken on our side but I can assure you that our Developers are working on getting it resolved as soon as possible and should be fixed by this afternoon, if not latest tomorrow.

Would you mind sendning us Tracerts with both the Afrihost account and Web Africa with Speedtest and we can deffinitely look into it for you and get it resolved as soon as possible.

If you require anything else please let us know,

Best Regards,

Luke

Because his connection is slow so they want to troubleshoot

Nope from their reply they acknowledged the issue is on their end as always and that devs are actively working on it so why do they need a traceroute then?

Got an email reply about the usage tracker:

"Thank you for your email.

Our Developers are aware of this issue as this is affecting all our customers.

The ETR for this is around the 20th of this month for the latest as they are waiting for the hardware to recity this issue."

So we all have no clue as to how much data we will use until the 20th then.

Well if it's a hardware issue I'm guessing even they don't know how much data you're using...

Isn't it interesting that one month they announce "Double Data" and then a few days later... have a hardware problem that precludes you from actually using the data?

No one is stopping you using your allocated data if you have a capped package. I have smacked around 250GB so far this month. Still have triple that left over, and that excludes the "free" midnight to 6am data.

I will carry on with my current usage pattern and see what happens on the 20th.

Hi guys,

We are working on the usage tracker issue and should have it fixed soon.
