WebAfrica Capped ADSL

There is a problem with the logging of data usage, with infrequent updates of usage on the DSL console.

One very unhappy consequence of this is that data used in the Free Download Plus time range is instead being taken out of the Anytime data allocation. (HINT WA: I DONT THINK I USED 20GB BETWEEN 8am AND 9am.)

Glad to see its not just me, 8Gb between 8 and 9 for me too.

WA appear to be having problems with their usage stats reporting. The console isn't being updated on a regular basis.

If you are experiencing this problem please report it –*if enough of us do so then maybe they'll fix it. (HOLDING BREATH)

I haven't seen them doing that? Mine downloads at full speed on my 11 Mb line for the full 6 hours.
Nope, nope nope nope I have a few threads here where is showed time and time again WA throttles the shiat out of you during peak times and forget using p2p.

When you can predict your Internet speed then you know something ain't right.

I can go on look at the clock above my desk am know exactly what to expect from my browsing experience.

Easiest way to answer it is why does a YouTube video buffer on a 40Mbps line only when I use WA but it works perfectly with afrihost and Vox all the time. I can replicate it time after time.

If only WA didn't throttle (or otherwise restrict) the Anytime data ... :(

This^

Yep is something wrong with recording what is used when. I have DL twice as much - according to WA - in the anytime as I have in DL+ hours, and I know that is impossible as I 95%+ do all my DL's in DL+ time.

Whilst it is kind of WA to give us double data, it seems a bit harsh to then miss allocate what is used when.

@Thor187 - I totally agree with you

If I were a cynical guy I might suspect a connection between the doubling up and the broken data tracker. **CONSPIRACY**

Can confirm...was doing a big download on Thursday (end of month), checked the usage stats and was only updated once in 3 hours or so.

Hi Guys,

We has an issue with the usage tracker but that should fixed.

Please let me know if you're still having issues.

Not fixed as my usage is still wrong. On the 1st it only started "tracking" at 08:00 so all the DL+ usage was allocated to anytime; to fix it properly, that needs to be sorted out.

On another note - welcome back. You haven't been here for ages. Are you back for good, or just on the odd occasion?

It's now the 5th, how do you expect data-usage on the 1st to be fixed if the issue was with the tracker itself?

Well, I am not skilled in this area at all, so can't answer that. I would hope though that WA has the people who can solve this problem.

TBH - at the end of the day I am not going to loose sleep over this at all, as I will not be using 200 gigs of data. My issue is more a principle - why must the consumer always pay the price when the service provider messes up? The SP won't be kind to the consumer if they do not pay the full amount owing to them for example

It is not fixed.

The usage summary (running totals) and line graph of usage seem to be OK, but the bar graph and the daily summaries are still not being updated.

Also the dsl console heading reads:
Usage Summary (July 2016)Last updated: 3rd July 2016 (Today is the 6th....)

And another thing: the authentication records are also not being updated.

As I was saying: NOT FIXED.
