Hi,
I have recently been using your Webafrica free trial service and I have found it great.
The only problem I have is that I cannot seem to be able to get my router to connect to that account. I can connect via creating a PPPoE connection on my PC but not if i enter the details on my router.
Can anyone help me please? :)

Regards,
Aider

Does it matter if you can't connect via the router but can via PPPOE?

Yes, as I would like to download some stuff on my iphone.
Btw i have a Billion 400G router

The latency also seems very high with my WebAfrica account, usually when playing css i get a latency of around 50-65(telkom internet), with axxess i get 25-40 and with webafrica i get 80-90.
Not sure if it matters that I live in Richards Bay or not.

By reset do you mean restart?
On my router Status page it just says "attempting to connect" and a red light appears on my router.

i can tell you that i switch between this account and my axxess acount by chaning the settings on my router.

can we assume that when you change to some other non-trial account you have no issue?

No, there should be a hard reset button ..... on my router I have to use a toothpick to reset it. You need to reset it so it clears the current info completely and then try the WA info.

ok, i reseted my router and no cigar :(
I can connect perfectly to my TI account as well as prepaid axxess accounts which i buy from pick n pay

And you're sure you're entering the details exactly as per your email? Ey, I iz stumped then :o

yep, im so confused :/
should i uncheck "Obtain DNS server automatically"?

But then i need to change my primary DNS/secondary DNS values,
not sure what to put there

no let it get the DNS automatically.

what happens when you enter the WA details? what does your router/modem show as the IP? (post it like 41.xxx.xxx.xxx) Also post the DNS servers you router shows.

no, once i go to my status page it just says attempting to connnect, no ip address, no subnet mask, no default gateway and under primary DNS it says none.

I'm just guessing here, but are you still dialed up on your computer while trying to put the account on the router?

As far as I can tell, only 1 concurrent connection per account is allowed.

no, i usually dc my webafrica if im connecting to my router.
