Hey everyone.
I don't know how many former FrogFoot clients there are here, but I would like to ask this: How is the migration going for yourselves?
Here at my work, a school, we've had a mixed bag. The ADSL access has worked great since day 1, I'm happy with that. However, there is a lot of confusion around the DNS hosting, and especially with the JayWalk Imail server.
I still don't know what the equivalent package is that exists at WA. After we couldn't access the mail earlier, I called support. It took a while but when the phone was answered the person was polite and friendly which helped a lot. I asked him about the whole migration business, and he said that they don't really know anything in that department.
Sadly that seems to be the case, no one seems to know what is what right now. I had a sales lady named Beth call me a couple of weeks ago, and we kind of got lost in translation, since I couldn't explain exactly how our services with FrogFoot used to work.
Also, it appears that the domains haven't been moved over yet, as the co.za whois server shows that FrogFoot is still the billing contact, and that our domain is due to be suspended. The date of the billing period was 1 August, which gave more than enough time for the domains to be moved surely?
Anyway, I would just appreciate some clear simple answers that I can take to the bursar and principal of our school. They are not the most understanding of people when it comes to technology, and if our services go down they will get upset.
Thanks
